Plant World Nursery
Today I am finally getting rid of citrus trees planted by Plant World Nursery. I had Plant World do the planting because I wanted to be sure it was done properly. Within the first year, it was obvious that things were not going well. I called them to come check since they were under warranty. The guy told me they were just getting acclimated and within two years will be bearing fruit. Little did I realize at the time that he was telling me that things will be better AFTER the warranty period. That was 8 years ago. They have NEVER beared any fruit. It is clear that Plant World has no intentions of honoring warranties. If you want to waste your time and money on trees, and then pay an additional $350.00 to plant trees that won't bear, by all means go to Plant World.

We have been to this nursery a couple of times and Bryan has helped us out both times. He is very helpful and knows the plants and their care. He took the time to answer all of our questions and walk around with us as we picked out our plants. He was even patient enough to wait while we picked out the "best" looking plants. He had good recommendations on plants for certain areas of our yard. I would definitely go back and recommend asking for Bryan.

I bought 2 peach trees from Moon Valley Nursery. I love peaches and I always wanted to have a couple of peach trees in my back yard. I was glad when Moon Valley Nursery opened their store not too far from my house, as I took the opportunity to visit their nursery before I decided to buy. I am satisfied with the price I paid for my trees and I love their peaches.

We needed plants and trees to landscape the front area at our office. So, we went to Moon Valley Nursery because they advertise the 90% discounts. And it was real. We got what we were looking for at great rates.

This place is our go-to for plants! The selection is awesome and it's hard to not scoop everything! Everything we have planted thrives in the heat and makes it through the winter. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to buy a big box tree this fall!

I had several trees delivered and planted at my house. They were on time, and did a fantastic job! They helped me find the best place to put them, and gave me advice on the care they would need. They even staked one tree as a freebie for me. They have been the best I have ever dealt with. I love these guys!!

Well, we just came to LOOK at trees, but we were steered to the manager special, a greatly reduced large tree. This was a chance for a couple of old folks to have an "instant" tree. They were very knowledgeable and got us a good deal on a second tree as well.

Purchased six large boxed trees, the planting crew was great and they treated you like a friend, not just worried about selling you something, but they want you to happy with your purchase. Very knowledgeable about everything. Have answered continual questions through the hot summer to keep my trees thriving and looking well. I will not shop anywhere else, for my landscape needs. These people run a business using old time business practices, fairness, support, and great customer service. You may find things cheaper at other places in town, but I don't believe you can find better service and customer appreciation. Try them out, I don't think you will be disappointed.
Tips & Advices
A plant guarantee covers the buyer that if a plant doesn’t survive the guaranteed amount of time (usually one year, but sometimes up to 5), the plant will be replaced. This does not cover annuals, which have a life cycle of only 1 year.
How often to water a grass lawn depends on the climate, the type of soil that surrounds your property, and how deep the root system of your grass grows. A general rule for watering is: every day during summer in warm climates. This rule can be modified if lawns are older, or the climate cooler. For mature well-rooted lawns, deeper but less-frequent waterings are recommended as being healthier than daily 15-minute rinses.
Fruit trees should be watered different frequency of times depending when they were planted. Younger trees, up to the second growing season, should be watered twice a week. Make sure to give up to 1 full gallon of water weekly to newly planted trees during their growing season, and more when it’s gaining  eaves. Once the tree reaches mature fruit-bearing stage, waterings can be cut back, as the roots are sunk and can find ground water.
The question of when to plant fruit trees really depends on climate. The general rules are: You should not plant fruit trees when the ground is frozen, when the peak daytime temperature is more than 90 degrees Fahrenheit, or when the forecast shows extreme weather (i.e. a tornado warning). Aside from those rules, the suggested planting times are either fall (which most people recommend) or spring (for bare-root trees).
There are many kits sold on the market that measure soil pH levels. Dyes, test strips, and electronic pH meters are all formulated to assist the home gardener. Many people choose to simply shake up soil and distilled water, and then measure the pH with a hand-held meter However, some people consider this method not very useful, and suggest using a lab for greater accuracy.
