It truly is always one of my favorites. Never disappoints. I will be back. I love the fresh salads. I always get the Alfredo sauce for my bread sticks. More than generous portions. You can't go wrong with The Olive Garden.

La Posta is one of my favorites....and if you lived in Cruces before and come back to visit, it's a must go! There's a reason why so many visitors go there (and a lot do)...it's because their hosts know without a doubt the food will be consistently good, the chili a consistent temperature and always clean and a beautiful sample of the Mexican decor. The aviary is so much fun with parrot, cockatoo and tucan hosts that are always entertaining. The prices are moderate and reasonable. I love their little take out section tucked in the back of the gift store. Fresh La Posta to go! Yum!! There's been amazing expansion of late and it is beyond me how they were able to do it so seemlessly. Their kitchen was honored by the US Navy when the gally of the USS New Mexico was named "La Posta" and the ships kitchen staff are trained right on sight to cook the La Posta way. Tom and Jerene Hutchinson, the owners, have done a magnificent job maintaining and upgrading a Las Cruces treasure! Don't miss it!!

The waitresses including the daughter of the owner can be very rude, be careful they might give you a little more than what you ordered.

Their burritos were good, but once I had a full dinner plate...I cannot rate this restaurant above one star. The Chile Rellenos were greasy, not much cheese, and not much batter. Looked like a chile thrown on a plate with a bucket of grease. The rice was undercooked and crunchy. They have no air conditioning (a window unit) and it was hot. Table was dirty and sticky.....yuck.

It is not kid friendly, it is not gluten friendly and does not stay open until the posted time on the door. We tried to have dinner there but we were told they were closing an hour early and could not seat us after being told they would wipe down a place for us, then told that they were closing, all seemed to be new news to the hostess whom came out of the back of the restaurant. Not friendly place at all...

Best food in town the mvk red chile spuds with at least two eggs over medium on top is awesome, the turkey bacon avocado salad is the best salad in town, the wrecker decker is an incredible club sandwich with layers of smoked turkey, bacon, ham, lettuce, tomato, avocado, cheddar cheese, three slices of whole wheat toast. The best lunch and breakfast!

Finally made it into this restaurant. I had the Cubano sandwich and the golden (battered) artichokes. My husband had the cobb salad. First, the artichokes were pretty good... coulda been better. The lemon aoili sauce that came with the artichokes was disgusting and tasted like turpentine. The curry sauce was excellent. My husband said that his cobb salad was excellent. The Cubano sandwich was barely ok. Not much meat, and very dry. Upon examination,I could barely find the Swiss cheese. I found mustard seeds, but barely any mustard at all. That was the only moisture on the sandwich. I suggest they put more mustard and less mustard seed. Nothing great there, but I'd be willing to give them another try. I've read other reviews elsewhere that said that the wait staff was horrible and the prices were outrageous. Not true. We found the service to be very good and the prices were very decent. All in all we had the (very large) cobb salad, Cubano sandwich (very large at 8 -9"") with side salad, battered artichokes with dipping sauces, bread, and one soda for $24. If that is overpriced, then I think those people who complained need to stay at McDonalds and don't eat anywhere else cus they couldn't handle it.

Whoever wrote that terrible review of Lorenzo's must be on prozac. I grew up in an Italian neighborhood, though not Italian (Irish) and have eaten in may Italian restaurants inluding the famous Mama Leoni's in Manhattan. Lorenzon's reminds me of my childhood with the frescos on the wall. The food is delicious and very reminiscient of my early days in NJ. So what if the pizza was burnt!!!! So was it a De Lucia's and Orlando's in Raritan, NJ and those guys just got off the boat. I love Italian food, reminds me of my childhood with the many Italian restaurant in the vicinity of my home. I even remember walking down the street and hearing Italian spoken by the old men and women. Only three Catholic churches; St. Ann""s for the Italians, St. Bernard's for the Irish and St. Joseph's for the Poles. Wonderful time to grow up in America. Lighten up dude and eat the piizza. They all came here to be Americans. Deal with the food and get over being a snob. Can't wait to get to Las Cruces again, by the way that will be this weekend and I will be eating at the Lorenzo's on University. Hope to see you there. \r \r Ate at Lorenzo's on May 12. Had a wonderful time, service was excellent and so was the food. Always eat at Lorenzo's on University whenever I go to Las Cruces. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone. It is also wonderful for families. Relax and enjoy!!!

Maybe 'bakery' would be more appropriate than 'pastry cafe' since it offers few types of breads only. This place is as far from a pastry shop or cafe as Las Cruces is from New Orleans. As for the service...I have better things to do with my time than waiting to be served while the hostess and two waiters are caught in a friendly chat behind the counter.

WOW! This place was great. The atmosphere is totally country & homestyle. The servers were very friendly and professional, the cocktail waitress (wich takes care of all your drinks), w2as equally friendly. The meal was fantabulous, the steaks were done to uor liking, the shrimps were scrumptous and savory, the desserts are to die for too. It was an excelent experience, my wife and my too kids enjoyed it just as much too. \r The prices are just right,(you get what you pay for).

I have been eating at the Empire quite too often and find the food to be very good. They need to change it up a bit because it is always the same thing.I find the service to be lacking in good taste and manners. Some of the staff are very nice others do not know how to say your welcome. I just had lunch there and was very offended the waitress brought the bill and took my plate which still had food on it and MY FORK that was right in front of me. No indication to her that I was done. I was deprived of desert so they could kick me out and have more room for other customers. They could use a class on how to treat customers. I didn't know there was a time limit on an all you can eat buffet!!!

Great red and green burritos. Good red enchiladas. Their green enchiladas are to die for! I also recommend their breakfast deal. You get alot for three ninety nine; 2eggs, 3 slices of thick bacon, hash browns, tortilla, chile on the side (great mixed in with the hash browns) and coffee. My only qualm is that they don't quite get what ""scrambled means"" - you get eggs beaten then served in one paddy - kinda like the boxed eggs from McDonald's only these are fresh eggs.
