The Hair Room
Got a great haircut for a wonderful price considering the service. Hot peppermint towel and everything. The girls are great and it is a man-friendly salon. Pretty cool they use all organic products which smell great. Small friendly place, I liked it.

Clip & Cut Salon
I've always wanted a fade that looks natural. I have very thick hair and almost every place likes to take thinning sheers to my hair, and after I would have that almost corn row like look because you can see my scalp. But not here, no thinning sheers and faded my hair with a natural look. I'm happy with my haircut and that it's very low maintenance so I only spend two minutes on it getting ready in the morning. This place has my vote.

Clip & Cut Salon
I came in for highlights but wasn't exactly sure of the color/shade. Kim's recommendation was perfect. I've been going here for awhile for a reason, because the service is awesome!

Elkae Salon
I absolutely love Elkae salon and will not go anywhere else. Leah has been doing my hair for over 8 years and let me tell you she has worked magic. When I first came to see her my hair was beyond distressed broken above my shoulders from bleaching my own hair for years. She has revived my hair and it's longer and it's healthier then it's ever been. I would highly recommend anyone to go see Leah she is amazing and by far the best hairstylist in Tampa bay.

Clip & Cut Salon
Very nice and friendly, can't remember her name, but cut my hair just the way I wanted. Which is always tricky because I have a double cowlick that swirls in different directions.

Dr. Robert M Mayer, MD
My son, passed away April 15, 2016. He was 31. He had been seeing Dr. Robert Mayer for years. He was a former drug addict. He had Asthma, and seizures, ADHD. My son was hospitalized many times for breathing issues. The hospital doctors and his pharmacists all said he was being over medicated. He should never have been on Xanax. It is a known fact, that this prescription should not be given to a patient with a prior history of drug abuse, seizures, or asthma. I called after his passing, to request his medical records, and his Medical Assistant, Michelle, said it was a Federal Office, and that all records are sealed, even after death. My son had been applying for Social Security Disability, and the Judge had to subpoena his medical records from Dr. Robert Mayer, because they would not send them. He was negligent in the amount of prescriptions he gave my son, and the dosage. My son was highly medicated, and slept most of the time. Do not go here, unless you want your loved one to die.

Avn Salon
I've been going to this Salon for 6 months.. It's centrally located on East Bay Dr. It is owned by Pearl with Lisa and Lilea ... They do nails, color, highlighting, waxing, etc.. Now they have added massages by Lilea...she also does eyebrows. I have been so pleased with my hairstyling , color, highlighting and nails.. I found my home place...
Tips & Advices
  • Talk about specific consequences of their drinking.
  • Choose a time soon after the person experiences a drinking-related problem (missing a shift at work, for example).
  • Do not threaten, guilt, lecture, preach, or use negative labels.
  • Do not try to discuss alcoholism when the person is intoxicated.
Therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists who specialize in the condition can all diagnose and treat alcoholism. People with alcohol-related concerns can also consult their general practitioner, who will refer them to a specialist.
Detoxification is a medically supervised period of alcohol withdrawal to allow the body to purge itself. A doctor or treatment specialist closely monitors a patient to ensure the symptoms of withdrawal do not cause harm. Side effects of alcohol detoxification include:
  • Sweating
  • Vomiting
  • Elevated heart rate
  • High blood pressure
  • Tremors
  • Nausea
  • Sleep issues
  • Paranoia or anxiety
  • Hallucinations
  • Seizures
The cost of addiction treatment varies depending on the type of facility, amenities offered, treatment provided, and size and length of the program. Detoxification ranges from $1,000 to $15,000. Inpatient facilities cost anywhere from $6,000 to $30,000 for a 30-day program and include detoxing. Outpatient programs can cost $500 per session.
Outpatient alcoholism treatment is a part-time form of rehabilitation. Patients continue their normal lives during the day and return to the treatment facility several times per week. Outpatient treatment is generally cheaper than inpatient and can be helpful for people with less severe addictions. Inpatient treatment programs require patients to stay at the facility 24/7 until the completion of the program. They provide a highly controlled environment for patients to overcome their addictions without the distractions or temptations of everyday life. These clinics provide round-the-clock medical care and often include hours of group and personal therapy. Inpatient programs are beneficial for people with severe addictions or those who have overdosed.
