BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS... GREAT CARE & GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Dr. Chun & Dr. Lee have been my dentist since 2007. I'm very happy with the professionalism of the staff, but most of all I'm very happy & satisfied with care and attention of Dr. Chun, Dr. Lee & Staff. They have gone beyond my expectations, to keep me Healthy, I really appreciate that!!...I went for a routine cleaning and Dr. Lee advise me of the care I needed and explain the process in detail, she was very patient and professional. She was not pushy at all, she gave me the details and told me whenever I was ready, she will be there. She did stress to me that "I need to stay healthy & take better care of myself". So I did & I do..We started with some cavities & the work I needed and throughout the process she would explain to me what to expect, very nice! Dr. Chun also took care of me, he met me a few times to review my options. He took time away from his schedule to meet me, I really appreciate that! He made sure the work he provided me was absolutely beautiful!! They're ALL very nice & personable, they're my dentists!! I love my smile again! Thank you so much for your care & attention!! Norma

South Laredo Family Clinic
Some of the office staff is somewhat friendly however, the waiting time is crazy. Although I had an appointment and arrived almost half an hour before, I still had to wait more than 3 hrs to see the doctor. I wonder how long I'ld had to wait if I didn't have an appt. The office is always crowded and they don't have anything for the children such an activity table or something of the sort so children are crying, screaming, and running all around the waiting room. No water fountain so make sure you bring your own drink or money to purchase something while you wait. I would recommend to eat something because you might have to wait a looooong time.

I took my kids here for there back to school check ups. WOW is all I can say at how amazing this place is. Not only was it a perfect kid friendly environment (not how I remembered the dentist as a child), but there customer service was great. Friendly caring staff that answered all my questions and concerns. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good dental care. I'm not sure what the previous reviewer was talking about as I was able to be with my kids during their appointments. Also I don't think you need to get a referral to get a second opinion so the reviewer sounds a little incompetent.

I highly recommend going to Laredo covenant dental for any dental procedures. I personally have had various major procedures done such as wisdom teeth extractions and root canals with not a single problem and painless. Before going with them I was hesitant of going to any dentist but ever since the first appointment they helped me overcome my fear and now have healthy teeth thanks to them! Awesome, friendly, and helpful staff!

I'm new to Laredo and didnt think I could find a Family Dentist like the one I had been seeing for over twenty in the valley. I found it Ahh Smiles and Dr. Cavazos.I highly recommend these Dentists and all there staff. I now bring all my family here, theres no need to go to Pediatric Dentist when the whole family can be seen here. Great Place!

I wish they had dentist offices like this when I was a child. If they did I would probably enjoy going there more like my son does. They offer a lot of amenities to the kids here to make their experience pleasant. A exciting environment, courteous staff, and a great location.

Tips & Advices
The most common dental problems in children are:
  • Cavities
  • Bad breath
  • Gum disease
  • Sensitive teeth
  • Grinding
  • Canker sores
  • Missing teeth
  • Extra teeth
  • Bite and alignment issues
Thumb sucking is not specifically a dental problem, but it can cause a malocclusion, a condition where the top and bottom teeth don't line up correctly.
To clean a baby's teeth, use a small, soft-bristled toothbrush designed specifically for infants. Apply a tiny amount of non-fluoride toothpaste - about the size of a grain of rice - and gently brush all sides of the teeth and the tongue. Before the baby's first teeth emerge, use gauze or a wet washcloth wrapped around the finger to wipe the gums. This motion doesn't necessarily reduce bacteria, but it does help the infant to get used to the sensation of having his or her teeth cleaned.
Children should visit their pediatric dentist every six months. This recommended frequency does not change throughout a person's lifetime.
No, wisdom teeth do not need to be removed unless they cause pain, lead to dental issues, or are aligned incorrectly.
Yes, dental sealants prevent cavities by filling in deep grooves in the teeth. Without them, bacteria can collect in these areas and cause tooth decay, which can happen with children.
