YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

Unfortunately, the individual who wrote the in-depth review about this company regarding their business practices was completely correct, although quite a few things were left out....I personally know (friends and family) several people who have worked for their Laramie "branch" and even "managed" for them in recent years, and hear quite a few complaints about them from people in general. We'll start with the fact that the company claims its drivers are "subcontractors", and therefore does not have to pay them minimum wage. This is inherently false; as they use company provided vehicles and resources, they do not work for other companies (in fact, they are told they can't...more on that later), they work according to a schedule, and they do not advertise themselves as independent subcontractors....all of which disqualifies them from being hired and paid as subcontractors. As it is a tipped job, they are entitled to at least 2.13 an hour currently (no overtime, however, as Federal laws exempt taxi drivers and other transportation positions from being paid overtime), which, due to the lack of volume of business, especially on the Laramie end, the drivers are not making in the supposed commission. In Laramie specifically, they routinely run without insurance, fail to put all of their drivers on commercial company insurance, and they fail to list all of their drivers with the City Clerk, as is required to maintain a business license in the City of Laramie. They have been repeatedly cited and suspended for running without proper business licensing and/or insurance, and they have failed to keep on record a list of enough licensed and insured drivers to legally operate a 24 hr business. They also make employees pay part of the sales tax, which is illegal, and they have made drivers work 24 hours straight, which is highly illegal and unsafe. This is all in addition to the general complaints most people have about general vehicle unsafeness and uncleanliness, especially on the Laramie end, and every rumor you can think of has been heard about some of the activity in said cabs. Also, in the past, employees have been forced to sign no-compete contracts, stating that they cannot work for any other cab company simultaneously or for a certain number of years after their termination. Employees have been fired for refusing to sign these contracts. Not only does this, among other things, single handedly invalidate the subcontractor claim, but agreements like these are highly suspect, don't hold much water in court, and in many cases, are illegal. I have personally borne witness to nearly all of this, and am close to others who have as well. Conclusion? As the previous reviewer said, there are plenty of legal and legitimate taxi companies in southeast Wyoming that are cheaper, more easily accessible, and always properly insured and licensed. But, if you have to find out for yourself how shady Capital City Cab, LLC is, I invite you to take them a few times....especially in Laramie, and let me know what you think ;P

The very worst cab company they took advantage of my girlfriend who is shy a naïve and charged her 22.00 $ to take her less then five miles. The other cabs in cheyennne might have bad reviews to but there's no way anyone could be more crooked then these guys. What a joke.
