the food was not bad but the customer service was horrible. the second we came in the door, they looked at us like they didnt want our business. an older blonde looking waitress took our orders, I ordered a dish that I had ordered several times before, the famous scramble, the choices were to have it with gravy or chilli, they usually let me have half and half, the blonde waitress straight up said no in a bitchy way, I was about to tell her that i always have it half and half..and the first time i ordered that meal it she who said i could have it that way, but i kept my mouth shut as a didnt want them to spit on our food, needless to say it was a bad experience, customer service staff was def, not friendly and the older blonde waitress was rude, I probably will not go back there again, my cousin with his kids that came with me were not impressed, I do not recommend this place, it will go out of business soon, they should have stayed downtown.

Great food every time. I've never had anything there that was anything short of WONDERFUL. The lasagna special last night was absolutely delicious. Made there, sauce was delicate and plentiful. Portion was generous, and well presented. The staff is friendly and the prices very reasonable. I love the wild mushroom pasta, the mushroom swiss burgers, the prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights (get there early, they sell out). It is impossible to say enough nice things about Pizzanos on Grand River in Lansing. It's just west of the Turner Dodge House.

I've driven by the Juke Box Grille many times, not knowing what it was, and not really caring. The building is small, the brick face is not really beat up, but not new either, and the question of where to park made it seem very ""greasy spoon"". When David asked me to meet him there for a late breakfast, I thought, ""Why not? If it's not any good, I can just not go back.""\r Imagine my surprise at the clean, modern, yet homey feel of a late 1950's diner, complete with smiling waitress and the owner himself supervising the kitchen in full view. There was even a couple of couches for those wanting just to sit back, enjoy the coffee, and ""people watch,"" or do some homework or business.\r Serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner all day long, the menu is carefully chosen to satisfy most anyone, and when I wanted to make a small change to the listed menu, (I got the 1 egg, meat, hash browns and pancakes, when the menu said ""toast"") I simply got a smile and ""No Problem!"" \r Breakfast was exactly as I ordered it: egg over easy, hash browns crispy but not burnt, and links instead of sausage patties. The pancakes were just what I wanted, too: light and fluffy, with good flavor and a quality syrup.\r I was there long enough to need to visit the loo, and was happy to find a clean, stocked and pleasant smelling tiled room. It even had a mirror, which is moderately rare in a college town, and, yes, I looked good!\r Moral of the story: Don't judge a book by it's cover! When driving down Grand River in East Lansing in need of tasty, fast, but not too greasy nourishment, look for the 5' tall statue (looking remarkably like Chef Boy-r-dee) across from Georgio's Gormet Pizzaria and McD's. The driveway is on the East side of the building with parking in the rear.\r Oh, and in case you were wondering, ""No, I do not work for my new favorite restaurant, The Juke Box Grille!""\r Bon Appetite!\r

IHOP does what it does - diner-style food. There are no fancy ingredients, and no fancy preparations. So if you like this style of food, and you know what to expect, then you'll get about what you should expect. What I think this restaurant does well is that its staff in the morning is exceedingly friendly and attentive. They actually remember people who come in with any frequency, and they greet these people accordingly. I have witnessed many occasions where I could tell that the customer felt special and pleased to be recognized and remembered.
