Motor Cars of Lansing
I saw a 2006 Pontiac G6 at this dealership but I lived all the way in Saginaw so me and my Husband drove all the way to Lansing to check it out. We got there at 6:10 pm and they had been closed for 10 min but right away John came out and greated us at our car and asked how he could help we said we drove here to see the G6. I notcied the lot was very well kept and very nice cars were lining the outside of the lot and I felt very comfortable right away because it seemed very professional. We went in the office and even after they were closed all three salesman were still helping out customers that were buying cars that night as well. It was a very clean and comfortable office that was very busy we sat down to talk about the car and he had already put the plate on the car and said heres the keys lets go for a ride. The car was very well taken care of not one thing wrong with it at all and I told my husband I wanted the car! I was very excited now we got back to the lot he showed us his full service auto center that was just as nice and told us that anything we need worked on the car he could do here. I was sold on not just the car but the level of customer service was nothing like I had experienced any where else when buying a car. We went in and it was quick, easy and very painless and within 30 min I was driving my new car! The car was the lowest priced anywhere and the best quality I had found as well. I recommend Motorcars Of Lansing to anybody looking to buy a great quality used car with even better customer service!

Rmb Auto Repair
The brakes on my 2001 Chevy Impala started making a grinding noise so I called RMB Auto to get an estimate. I was told to bring my car in and someone would look at it right away, and there was no cost for the estimate. I dropped it off on my lunch break and got a call back within an hour to let me know exactly what parts were needed and how much everything would cost. I checked the price with a local dealership and they were asking almost twice what RMB quoted. When I called back they told me it would be done before the end of the day and they also offered to pick me up from work! I've been driving with the new brakes for several weeks and everything feels great. There is absolutely no squeaking of any kind. I would definitely recommend this place for both price and service. It was refreshing to get someone on the phone who explained everything in plain English, answered my questions without rushing me off the phone and when I picked my car up the owner had taken the time to look everything else over to let me know what things might need service in the future without trying to sell me on anything. He told me that if I ever had any problems I could bring it back and they would check it out at no charge. This is exactly why I support local businesses and am so happy I found this shop. I will definitely be back!!

Car City
After spending a few months searching car lots that claim to "help" people with troubled credit and not being impressed with the cars they had to offer, I had almost given up. That is until I went into Car City's lot after hours and looked at their selection and was pleasantly surprised by the types of vehicles they had to offer, great cars/trucks that weren't extremely old with tons of miles on them. I decided to contact them and inquire about their financing options. I went into the dealership and met with John and Aaron, and they went out of their way to help me feel comfortable. I was on a time crunch so they tried to make things move along as smoothly as possible. I was uneasy about a possible vehicle purchase because of my credit situation, but in no time, I was approved to purchased the vehicle that I had really been interested in. I'm now the proud owner of a 2008 truck! Just to show that these folks go the "extra mile", my purchase was complete on my birthday. I went out to get into my new truck and there were Happy Birthday banners on the truck along with a really nice birthday card inside. Those little things make a huge difference in the world today. Thanks to everyone at Car City. I have a huge smile as I climb up in my new truck!!!

Capitol Auto Sales
Bought a 2003 Jeep Liberty Renegade to fix up in June 2016. Sales staff was very friendly and helpful, and stayed late to help me out. The vehicle drove well when I tested it, and passed a quick inspection by me. I agreed to buy it as-is. It drove well for a month, but the transfer case went out abruptly, leaving the vehicle inoperable except in reverse. Capitol Auto offered to work on it for me, but I opted to replace it with a salvage yard unit. During this operation, I realized the vehicle had no front drive shaft in it. I added a salvage one (in December, it went bad. I bought a remanufactured one). Three months later I replaced the whole rear axle, and now I'm working on the front passenger CV joint. I expected a bit of a project vehicle when I bought the Jeep, although things broke down quicker than I'd hoped. Vehicle was at 169,000 miles at purchase. I'm now just past 171,000. It got me and my dad back into the woods up north all hunting season, and overall I love it.

Herbs Auto Sales
Bought a 2004 Trailblazer from Moe with low miles about a month ago. Had some missing plastic and a couple issues mechanically. Seat belt light on and the passenger door switch bad. Gas evap canister also needed replaced. Had to replace the spare tire holder to get at the canister but that is a known GM issue. Replaced the missing plastic pieces for around $200. Everything else checked out. Everything except the seat belt light has been addressed and I am happy with the purchase. Moe will make sure the car runs good even if it needs a little TLC and give you a price that will compensate for fixing those issues which I don't mind. I figure with parts and repair I put another $600-$700 dollars which still set the price at ~ $5000 for a 2004 Trailblazer with 122000 miles which is still a good deal. All the toys (heated seats, etc.) are working fine now. Moe is a good guy and I would buy from him again.

Motor Cars of Lansing
I searched around the Lansing area for about 4 monthes for a car before finally settling with Motor cars of Lansing. I was looking for a specific vehicle, a black dodge charger, and all I had found up until that point were too high of prices and/or too high of miles. I talked to John and told him exactly what I was looking for and within a little over a week he had found exactly what I wanted. I was sceptical at first since I had shopped around for so long and had only found rediculously high prices everywhere. Especially for the about of miles that was on the vehicle, but John gave me an amazing deal, that was around $4,000 cheaper than any price I had found throught Michigan! Overall, I had great experience at Motor Cars of Lansing and would recommend their services to anyone. I still take my car there for oil changes and feel like I'm treated like a family member everytime.

After shopping around for a new van I found everything i was looking for online at Motorcars of lansing the price was right and the van was exactly what i was looking for. Because I lived so far away I called and spoke with John to get more information on the vehicle. John was more then willing to answer all my questions and email me additional information plus the carfax. I felt really good about taking around a 4hr drive to lansing and for great reason, the Caravan was exactly as described with some added extras like Stow and go seating that were just a plus for me. Overall this was a great experience the whole staff was wonderful and John made me feel very comfortable. For any other single mothers or anyone else looking for a great vehicle at reasonable prices I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND MOTORCARS, they were GREAT!

Motor Cars of Lansing
My family was looking for a specific vehicle and Motorcars searched for weeks to find exactly what we wanted. We appreciated the patience and time spent by Simone and John to make sure we drove away in our perfect vehicle. Motorcars took care of all the minor and major repairs making sure we were in a safe and reliable vehicle. Working with Simone to finance and transfer plates was super easy and stress free. I have taken my other vehicle into Motorcars to be serviced by Tony and I have been equally impressed with the work and repairs completed on my vehicle. I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and with Motorcars. I am excited they are expanding and beginning construction on a new facility in Lansing. It is nice dealing with a successful local family operated business..

Denny's Auto Diagnosis
My son is a college student in Lansing and developed car trouble last Wednesday. We got his car towed to Denny's on Thursday. They received it around noon. My son was back in his car at noon on Friday and able to come home for the Easter weekend. When you are trying to handle a car repair from from a distance it becomes doubly hard because you don't know who to trust to get the job done right and on short notice. The tech. at Denny's called me when he figured out the problem, was very good at going through the diagnostics with me, and had the car fixed the very next day. I felt like I could trust them which means a lot. If my son's car develops further problems I will not hesitate to call Denny's again.

Motor Cars of Lansing
I was ready to buy a new vehicle...I have owned a mini-van for the last 8 years or so. My kids are now grown and wanted an SUV. I went to several dealerships and at one place not one salesperson was to be seen. I left a little discouraged. Finally my hubby said "let's go to Motorcars of Lansing". My son had purchased a vehicle about a year and a half ago. He was very happy with it so I decided to check them out. This was on a Saturday the day after Christmas. I seen several nice SUVs but I had my eye on a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude. I test drove it and by Monday evening during an ice-storm I picked up my new ride! They worked hard to get me into this vehicle.
Tips & Advices
Salvage yards will have different policies regarding warranties, but, in most instances, the parts you find will be covered. Some salvage yards will offer warranties of anywhere from 90 days to six months, and may even offer the option for extended coverage.
After you've successfully found a part or multiple components, take everything up to the clerk. Inform them of what you have and pay. Avoid lying about what you have as a way to pay less. You will potentially be banned if you're found lying. You-pick salvage yards will display the prices for categories of parts. Prices may fluctuate depending on the demand. Harder-to-find items could carry a higher price tag than a brand-new one. If you are salvaging for auto parts, you might see items that are difficult to find and be able to sell them for a profit. Doing so can offset the cost of the price you're paying for the parts you personally need.
It is in your interest to call the salvage yard before arriving to see if they sell smaller components individually, because some yards do not. Some owners choose to not sell small components for financial reasons.  If salvage lots come across a door without the handle, they will have to pay extra to get the handle and attach it to the entire assembly. It is therefore cost-effective for salvage lots to sell entire assemblies.
When rummaging through a car or walking around the lot, stay aware of your surroundings. Remember, you aren't the only visitor looking to salvage parts. Other individuals are also looking for components, and not everyone works as safely as possible. If you find a car you'd like to inspect, make sure working conditions are suitable, and if anything looks suspicious or dangerous, find a safer vehicle to tear apart.
