Fletcher's Mobile Diesel Repair
They have had my truck for 37 days and they still have not repaired it. They never call me with updates, if I leave a message, they will not return my calls. I seriously doubt they know what they are doing.

Hiro's Transmission
Bad deal here. First transmission was faulty. The second I drove off the lot I noticed the problem. Didn't they test drive ? Over the phone Mark started with it probably needs adjustment. I only dealt with Jeff at time of rebuilt. Didn't deal with Mark until I showed up at shop and First met Mark who test drove without knowing it was there rebuild. Mark explained after test drive it was shot and needed a rebuild. I then pulled out receipt and presented to him. He seemed a bit surprised. I left vehicle there and picked up a week later. Still didn't seem right. It worked but just didn't feel correct. After 25k miles it started slipping and then burned out. I called and Mark basically blew me off as if it was my fault. Have since had it rebuilt elsewhere and I could tell right away it was done right. Hiro should have come to bat by backing there rebuild and researched my situation. I'm out $2000.00 with a worthless rebuild. Not satisfied....never recommend.

Kelly's Automotive
My daughter came here because her car RPM's were revving up but speed was going down. After and oil change because the change oil light was on, and they hooked the car up to diagnostic machine. Transmission code came up. They told her to call back in an hour. Their transmission guy Beyond should be in by then. She does and he is so the say come back in. Long story short he test drives it and says nothing is wrong with the car. That everything is fine. She drive back home less then 3miles away and almost didn't make it. We took the car to Vega's Auto off 10th and L. The car needs and new transmission. Kelly's Auto Repair has no business being in business....... My mom and sisters come here, at least they did. They probably won't oncre they found out about this.

I am shopping for used car parts with them for years, and I can honestly say that their prices are the best in Lancaster, and as a repeat customer, they always treat me like a king, with respect and loyalty ... I can truly recommend them to anyone, and especially their mechanic garage, as they always have the right part, if not, they will get it for you in no time ... 5 star service and 5 star owners and staff ...
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
