Alpine Automotive
I was at first thrilled that I found a shop that was so friendly. I took my SUV there for 2 years. I even drove out of my way just for an oil change. I had to have the manifold changed out this last time about 3 maybe 4 months ago I picked it up and didn't go more than 5 miles before it broke down again after spending (this time) 1187.77 I had to tow it back again and spend another 600.00 for them to fix the coils. After reviewing the invoices i noticed that they had done a computer check prior to calling me to get it the 1st time that it was running wrong. Seems they re set that so the check engine light was out had me come get it and well yes the outcome was I had to have it towed back to the shop. Another 5 days and another 600 I had a fixed truck no discount all I got was well you don't know what you are talking about not our fault ...... yes we had to take the coils off to fix it the 1st time but none of this was our fault you have an old vehicle and it is your fault. So I didn't even get a discount nothing just another full bill and another 5 days with out the vehicle. Well that was 3 or more months ago and i just got a bill in the mail from them. WOW are you kidding me ....... I called and yes the smug snarky women at the front desk said no you didn't pay us. But of course I did. I paid 1000.00 on my debit card and a check for the balance since my bank will not let more than 1000.00 a day for security reasons. Then I get oh maybe our accounting is off ........ you already knew you made me mad the last time I was in there and now you are going to sue me for 187.77 you have got to be kidding me .......... what a crock bad business bad

Alpine Automotive
Alpine Automotive is great. Yes, they are small but they know how to get things done right. They have worked on my cars for years. I have never had a problem and recommend them highly.

Metro Suburban Auto Service
Metro Suburban is under new ownership, and the team there rocks!! They have continued the honest professional, yet family owned work ethic that the previous owners built up. I won't take my car anywhere else - Give them a try!!

Lakewood Muffler & Brake
Set up a appointment to modify my exhaust, 3 weeks in advance, making sure the books were completely clear on that day. I had a great talk with Adam about time frame and cost, setting my appointment for an afternoon slot at 2pm. Received a message from the receptionist, just 2 hours prior to my appointment, stating that my appointment would not be honored because morning appointments always have priority and I would be bumped to a future date. No apologies, no humility, in fact quite demeaning as if it were my fault for taking an afternoon slot. I requested a call back from Adam to hash things out, so I would not be wasting my time on another future appointment. Sadly, Adam, I wish you would have called me back...

O'Reilly Auto Parts
We had a very poor experience at this store. Brenda is really miserable to work with altho the other employees have been ok. Parts never come in, promised calls never came to us. Overall, would not use them! Too many other options!! Go somewhere else!!!!

Metro Suburban Auto Service
Metro Suburban Auto Service is the ONLY place I will take my car after my experience with them! They are a family-owned, honest shop that specializes in Subarus, and their quality of work is top notch!
Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
