Affordable Dentures
First let me say that I came to AD as a denture wearer of one year. I was looking for a reline, as I could not wear the denture (an upper) due to discomfort. I was greeted by a pleasant person at the desk and was not kept waiting long. The dentist saw me, assessed my current dentures, and was dead on. He suggested not wasting money on a reline because the fit was so off, and highly recommended a new denture. He did not pressure me into any one quality/price. Long story short, four hours later I walked out with a new denture, as they have their own in-house lab. Over the next few days, it became obvious I needed an adjustment, as I could not eat with it in. I went back, hardly any wait, and they readjusted it for me. I was only seen by the dentist once, at the initial part of the appointment. The rest of the time I was seen by very competent technicians. I can absolutely recommend Affordable Dentures in Lakeland for any denture wearer who needs new dentures.

Received a card for $59 cleaning & x-rays so I decided to give them a try. Unlike my previous dentists they did not try to rack up my bill by saying: we can't do your cleaning until we do this other procedure. I went in had my cleaning done the same day (again, unlike other dentists I visited in the past). Also, they really strive to explain to the patient what they are looking at on the x-rays. I had to have a filling done so I booked an appointment but before the appointment I broke a tooth. He took care of it on the same appointment so I didn't have to book a separate one. I don't have insurance for the first time in years and it's also the first time I don't feel that the dentist is trying to take advanage by overcharging and selling me stuff I can buy a lot cheaper elsewhere. The Staff and the Doctor are friendly and they really try to make you feel like you matter to them as a customer.

Aspen Dental
This place is good if you can afford it. They have a couple of payment plans available but I couldnt afford them. I also dont have insurance and because of that I was unable to get past the consultation. The nurses are incredible, very well mannered and extremely polite and down to earth. However the calling center can be a pain in the you know what. They were very misleading. They told me that I would be able to get my tooth pulled the same day that my consultation took place. Which, of course, was not the truth. It really made me feel like they would tell me anything to get me in the door.

Midtown Dental Associates
I love Midtown Dental! The office staff are always nice and accommodating to schedule appointments that fit my needs. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Dr. Nerestant is very knowledgable and let me know what to expect every step of the way while I was getting my dental implant and veneer. Now that it's all done, I can't help but smile! The hygienist I saw was also very gentle making sure I was comfortable, offering sunglasses to offset the bright lights and a massage built-in the chair. I would definitely recommend Midtown Dental.

Agnini Family Dental
Agnini Dental has been my dentist for 7 years. In fact, my entire family comes to see them for dental work. Their officxe is state of the art and very advanced with monitors in the room so that I can actually see what work is needed in my mouth before its done - and the best part is that I can see what it looks like when it is finished! All of the staff has been great and the doctors are top-notch! I love the relaxing waterfalls, too. I just love my dental office.

Hands down the best dental experience I have ever had ! My hygienist, Kim, is amazing ! She made me feel at ease and was very gentle during the cleaning . Dr. Nerestant is super friendly and has restored my faith in dentistry (I have had a fear of the dentist for years) . I actually can't wait until my next visit ! I love it there and would highly recommend that anyone who has a fear of the dentist to give Dr. Nerestant and his staff a chance ! They are the best !

Kimberly Sheets is an angel of a hygienist! I always look forward to a cleaning now......she is sweet, gentle, caring and a complete professional at her craft. I always feel like I'm her only patient. The value-added extras (music, glasses, lavender towel) contribute to the spa-like experience. No more dental anxiety and my teeth have never looked or felt better. Thank you to Kim and everyone at Midtown Dental for raising the bar on dental care. Gwen

Philip Raphael Contreras, DDS
The staff did not advise me ahead of time that they would be unable to send copies of my full mouth xrays (only 1 really needed) to any other dentist. They can only send photocopies—virtually useless. They billed my insurance for the xrays. Therefore, I need to have another set done at my expense for my periodontists in FL and PA and my dentist in PA. The staff is not particularly cordial or helpful. Dr. Contreras seemed ok.

Midtown dental has been my dentist office for nearly a decade. They are always professional and friendly. I highly recommend Kim Sheets as a hygienist, she is thorough and genuinely cares about your tooth and gum health. Dr. Slater is efficient and friendly. Both of them do a really great job walking you through the procedures so you get an accurate account of what is happening in your mouth.
Tips & Advices
This depends on the prosthetic.
  • Dental implants, when cared for properly, can last a lifetime.
  • Crowns typically last between 10-15 years.
  • Resin-bonded bridges typically last between seven  and 10 years. Tooth-supported fixed bridges generally wear out faster than this.
  • Removable partial dentures typically last around 15 years.
  • Complete dentures typically last between five and six years.
The entire process for adding dental implants could take as long as eight months. There are three phases:
  • Phase 1: Grafting. This may take between three and six  months.
  • Phase 2: Artificial root placement. This may take one to two  hours to complete and will take between three and six  months to heal.
  • Phase 3: Crown placement. This is usually done over the course of two visits, two weeks apart.
One dental implant typically costs $1,000-$3,000. However, the abutment (a connector added onto the top of a dental implant) and crown can add $500-$3,000. Multiple dental implants may cost $3,000-$30,000. A full set of implant dentures may cost as much as $90,000, though the average is around $34,000.
A dental implant is a titanium post shaped like a natural tooth's root that is surgically inserted into the jawbone beneath the gums. These posts allow dentists to secure a replacement tooth or bridge in the correct position.
Maxillofacial prosthesis is a subspecialty of prosthodontics. A maxillofacial prosthesis is meant to rehabilitate patients who have defects or disabilities due to trauma, disease, or those that a patient is has from birth. The prosthesis is designed to replace parts of the bone or tissue that are missing, or to help restore functions of the mouth, such as swallowing, chewing, or speaking. Other prostheses are created to protect the face during radiation therapy. Dentists that work with maxillofacial prostheses often collaborate closely with ear, nose, and throat doctors.
