AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care
If honesty, integrity and great service is important to you, they you are at the right place. I found Aatco and Joe due to an emergency situation that arose late on a Friday. Joe was polite and responsive on the phone and told us to bring our truck to his shop. Upon our arrival, besides Joe being a well presented and friendly guy, first thing I noticed was the cleanliness and organization of his shop. Being a retired shop owner I can immediately recognize the tell-tale signs of a good place to be and the opposite. I did not tell Joe of my mechanical expertise or that I already had a pretty good idea of the problem that my truck was suffering. After a very brief discussion of symptoms Joe stated what he thought was the problem. I was impressed with his knowledge and quick analysis, moreover that he put the truck up on the rack to verify before he said anything affirmative. Joe's analysis was correct and rather than telling me just how bad my luck was, he offered several methods of remedy from inexpensive patching that will get me home if time was a issue to partial or complete replacement of the failed part(s) that would take a couple of week days to get. Due to our time constraint we had to opt for the quick fix. Joe did a very competent job over the weekend including a Sunday. He was more than fair with pricing. In fact maybe too inexpensive. My recommendation does not come easy and carries some weight. I give my highest recommendation to Joe and Aatco Transmission.

AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care
This is the GREATEST mechanic shop in town!!!!!! We have tried several shops in Lake Havasu area in the past few years and have always had problems with being overcharged and the work not done right the first time and having to pay more for them to fix it the right way. But Aamco by FAR outstands the rest, they have great customer service and they keep you up to date on whats going on with your vehicle. They are very reasonably priced and take great care of their customers. We highly recommend them to everyone that wants a loyal, friendly, caring shop to take their car in to.

Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
