So awesome they made my car look new. Truly a blessing with a great price. They were very professional and accurate. He told me my car would be ready Wednesday and he called before noon. It was perfect.

We go there and he says we have lights out that need to be fixed. Went and got what we needed. Then we went back again and after us purchased the stuff and not only did they not have the correct month, but they said the same thing. We left and went to Don's Carwash on Ryan St. And was done in 10 minutes.

I have no experience with this company , but I have a question/suggestion. Why are you not open on Saturdays? Sunday is the day of rest. Most people work m-f 8-5, so it's cutting it close to get to the shop b4 you close and then I imagine it would be "tell me what you need, come back another day when we have more time to discuss this." Saturdays are the days when the majority of your potential customers can get these issue taken care of. Lake Charles is going to explode with with new residentsite moving here as the plants are nearly finished and the way people drive through parking lots a hit other people's cars as in my case, wouldn't you want this added revenue? Just a thought. Guess I'll have to see the Dent Doctor to fix my dent.

Ashford's Automotive Service
I called Ashford Automotive Monday morning and was told to bring it in Monday afternoon. After a 20 minute wait, I was told that they did not have time to see the car that day. I made arrangements to drop the car off Tuesday morning using their drop box. I placed the keys in the drop box and later at 10 am to make sure they received my keys. I was told by the receptionist that he was "pretty sure" that they were looking at my car and that a technician had probably not called me yet because they were ordering parts for my car.I called again at 1 and was told they could not find my keys, even though I had placed them in the drop box as requested. I was told they would look for them right away and take a look at my car. When I came by around 2, the receptionist could not find the technician anywhere. As she was calling him, I went and checked the drop box and my keys were still in it! I am very disappointed with the lack of service I received.

Needed heater fixed and they needed to replace the dash cause it was busted. They replaced the dash but did a bumb job on it, nothing is fitting securedly, they drilled holes and tried to glue the front panel on and damaged the parts that weren't damaged. I don't know if the passenger air bag will work because its not securely seated and the shift indicator doesn't work. The bad part about it all is that no one told me that there would be problems putting in the dash and possible damage to the undamaged console. Then its like no one looked at the vehicle when I finally got it because there was no phone call or explanation until I called back to find out what happened. Supposedly, he would fix the dash indicator but was waiting for the part to come in which never came in and the brand new dash didn't come with all the parts and its no longer available to them. Totally poor customer service. If you need work done and they say order the parts, don't bring your vehicle until the parts come in because it may be weeks and inspect your vehicle before it leaves the lot because they won't say a word and know they broke pieces that weren't broke before. The heater does work but the inside looks tacky!

I came in to have my power steering serviced and they recommend a flush rather than changing out the pump. Turned out the flush did nothing so they offered to not charge me for the flush if I have my pump changed there. Truck is running like new again and they were very fast and kind. I'll be a return customer now.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
