Salon Bazaar
I really like this place. I just moved here from out of state and needed to find a salon immediately. After a catastrophe in May at another salon not in Louisiana, my hair was dyed bleach blonde with an orange tint. I have an interview Tuesday and needed someone to improve the state of my hair. At this point I had about two inch roots. I found Salon Bazaar through my fiancé believe it or not. They do a fantastic job cutting his hair no matter who cuts it. Molly Miller colored and cut my hair and it looks phenomenal!! She was really nice. We talked a little about what I wanted and she delivered excellent results. The price for all over low-lights and a haircut was very reasonable. If you get any type of color/chemical treatment, your haircut is only $20! I am used to paying over $50 for a cut. The best part was that it didn't take forever! I was in and out in about 2 hours. I am so happy I found a salon and a colorist I can confidently return to and recommend. I took away 1 star because I didn't care so much for the conversation topic being discussed throughout the salon. But that's just my opinion. I forgot to mention that I called on a Saturday and they were able to get me in that morning!

Blowbar
'Blow Bar' is a full-service hair salon, not just a dry bar. It offers haircuts, styles and Paul Mitchell XG color/lites. The stylists and makeup artists handle bridal parties and special events located right around the corner from Jay Falgout Photography! The Bumble & Bumble back bar and retail products are top of the line and the space is chic, open and airy with a modern sleek decor. As a regular client, this group of professionals are all warm, talented and experienced salon stylists for both womens and mens cuts. (Fyi... this is not a spa or nail salon.) Great place to go if you're in a hurry and need a style to go to a party or just want to pamper yourself a little!

Southern Rouge Salon
I am a natural dark brunette. I have been trying to go blonde for 5+ years now going to salon after salon and stylist after stylist (and spending all my money). I was always promised "next time it'll look how you want it" and let me tell you IT NEVER DID until I found Jamie!! She has honestly worked wonders with my hair time and time again. She never disappoints and does anything she can to get your hair to where it needs to be all while keeping it healthy. I will never, ever go to anyone else! I highly recommend her for anyone who has been having trouble getting the color that they want.

Home Furniture
I have made several purchases from Home Furniture over the years. Blair Christ is a professional and personal salesman. He is very attentive and always greets me when I walk into the store on Johnston Street. I want to comment Stephanie in customer service. I had a small issue with a purchase. She contacted me (promptly) and made arrangements to address the issue. It was taken care of in a timely manner. From Sales to Service, Home Furniture receives and A+. I really hope someone from their organization reads this review.

Style America
I went here one day out of sheer convenience, since I was next door. I got Cassie as my stylist. She was very professional and did a wonderful job. I now go to this salon exclusively. A friend of mine got her hair cut at the same time by a different stylist, and was also very pleased. I would definitely recommend Cassie and Style America.

Southern Rouge Salon
Southern Rouge Salon is amazing...super cute and clean! I was very nervous, as I don't color my hair often. I went to Erin, and she painted on the most perfect, natural balayage. I am SO pleased with how it turned out. I get compliments all the time! Would highly recommend Erin for cut, color and styling - she's the best!!

Went there to get my hair dyed a really fun color, it turned out beautifully! I can't get over how beautiful it looks. Can't stop looking at it and running my hands through my hair. Loved my hair dresser, Mindy. She was very sweet and fun to talk to. Don't plan to go anywhere else.

Tips & Advices
Interior designers can generally work on every type of room, but one should not assume that all of them can work on every type of space. More complicated projects--for example those in buildings with historic preservation strictures, or those that are going for sustainability certifications--will be suited to interior designers with specific expertise. Also, interior designers that have experience in a certain type of project may not want to take on projects that are outside their expertise. For example, an interior designer who has only worked on commercial projects may not want to do a small private home.
Every interior designer has their own style, but some designers are more versatile than others. Some really do specialize in functionality and code compliance, whereas others are more focused on aesthetics. Interior decorators are completely focused on visual impact, and therefore should be reviewed and selected based on how well their style is a match for the client’s tastes.
Full-service interior design starts with an assessment of a site and the client’s long-term needs for that space. It encompasses concept design, floor plans and lighting plans, providing project specifications to contractors, supervising  contractor negotiations and installations, applying for permits, and shopping for all the materials and pieces for the project. On top of this, there are the “decorator” deliverables, i.e. creating the aesthetic of the space, selecting wall colors/covers and furniture pieces, purchasing products and installing them.
An interior designer may come into a development project very early on, working with the developer and architect from the pre-construction phase. They may be the one to design floor plans, decide where to place interior walls, and supervise contractors that are installing elements of the build. They often work on commercial projects, although many of them work on residential projects. Interior designers can “switch hats” and do interior decoration, which means they are only focused on the aesthetic elements and visual components of a residence.
An interior designer or interior decorator should ask a potential client what the scope of the project is, what the projected budget is, what payment structure the client wants, and what the timeline for the project is. Also, they should be asking whether the client has any samples of other projects they like, and would like to use as a guideline. They could also ask what the client’s budget for furniture/accessories/art is, since that in many cases is a separate amount from the budget for the designer’s labor. If an interior designer is being interviewed early into a new build or a renovation project, they might ask questions to determine whether they can collaborate with architects and contractors from early on, to execute their vision for the space. If that is not in line with a client’s wishes, the client can then say that the project scope is for interior design only.

Just a moment...
