St. David's Urgent Care - Kyle
If you go to this location, make sure it is during the day!! I needed care Tuesday AM for asthma (myslf)! The nurses, doctor, staff were "EXCEPTIONAL"! Since I had such a positive experience earlier this week, I took my granddaughter this evening for an ear infection. She came in from playing saying her ear hurt. As the caregiver for the weekend (parents out of town for 3 days) I wanted anti biotics ASAP. I grabbed her and her 2 friends (all barefoot) and rushed to the care center before the 7 PM closing. The nurse on duty greeted her by saying, "Where are your shoes!" The attitude did not get any better even tho I explained why we were rushing to get there. Clearly she did not realize I could have made a left turn, instead of a right, and gone to the ER the same distance away. Let me tell you, NURSE MAUREEN, I will turn around and leave before I will allow you to tend to my needs OR anyone I happen to bring to Urgent Care next to HEB! Sorry you were inconvenienced...BUT I am sure your salary is compensating for an ill child!

Hands On Healing
I have struggled with my weight for over twenty years. I don't like to exercise and I would rather a Coke than water any day. I tried Leslie's Weight Loss mediation CDs and it has been a wonder. I feel driven to take that hour walk every afternoon, I drink up to 96 ozs of water daily because I feel driven to do that as well. I make better choices and have more self control when it comes to a cheeseburger for dinner or a protein shake. I listen to it every night as I go to bed. Not only does it relax me; and helps me sleep but it has made me more driven to do things I have previously found almost impossible to stick to. I have been using it for about two months and recommend it to anyone that wants to lose weight, sleep better or be more health conscious. Thank you Leslie for recommending something that is making all the difference in my life. I have lost over twenty pounds in sixty five days.

St. David's Urgent Care - Kyle
Be aware that even though the name says "Urgent Care" they will charge you emergency room prices because they have emergency room technicians. No equipment to handle emergencies, but technicians.Went there with my son and was told I needed to take him to Dell Children's after they took his temp and weighed him. Still charged me for an emergency room visit, and then sent me to a real emergency room so I could pay again.I find this very dishonest. Can get the same "emergency" service at the clinic in the HEB next door for a LOT less.

just had a wonderful massage with Torrie. Kind young lady with strong hands. The place was nice, neat and cozy. I would highly recommend her and this business.
Tips & Advices
Under most health insurance plans, urgent care visits will require a copay that is usually less expensive than emergency room visits, but more expensive than standard doctor visits - around $120 on average. Urgent care staff do not have much information regarding individual coverage, so be prepared and check with your insurance provider to understand costs.
It is common for urgent care physicians to recommend follow-up treatment after an initial visit. Most commonly, patients will be asked to return to the clinic or their primary care doctor if symptoms get worse or do not improve in a certain amount of time. Patients might be referred to a specialist for treatment of more complex conditions. Or patients may simply be given a few basic tips for recovering at home. In any case, patients should follow the doctor’s advice regarding next treatment steps.
If needed, urgent care doctors can prescribe medication to treat conditions. This may include antibiotics for an infection or pain medication for a broken bone. Be sure to follow the doctor’s instructions for taking these medicines.
Be sure to explain your symptoms to physicians in as much detail as possible. Note when or where the symptoms first appeared if possible. Inform urgent care staff of any medical conditions you may have, all allergies, and all medications you are currently taking. Also be sure to bring proper forms of identification, and any health insurance cards/information to help process your visit.
You should be able to find a 24-hour urgent care clinic by searching online resources such as yellowpages.com. Be sure the location is included in your health plan network before visiting.
