Food was pretty bland. For the prices, I could've went somewhere else with far better food. Tourist trap
Keoki's is amazing one two accounts:
1) The food is fresh and delectable, and surprisingly cheap for its caliber. Since this is part of the Kimo's family of restaurants, I would say the food reminds me the most of Hula Grill, which I also love. Get the fish (you're in Hawaii, duh!), you won't be disappointed. Everything on the menu is less than $20, but if you go between 5-6:00 pm, they the Chef's Tasting 3-course for $20. Yes you heard me, appetizer, entree and dessert (albiet tasting-size, but still pretty filling) for $20! Best deal in southern Kauai!
2) The open-style tiki architecture, cleverly ensconced restaurant, makes you think you're in Bora Bora, not middle of a parking lot open mall. In fact this place reminds me of Bloody Mary in Bora Bora, except a lot more updated and open-aired. Just go check it out, if you don't like the food, you'll like the ambiance.
We went there because the Marriott reccomended it to us and because we went to the sister restaurants in Maui (Kimos and Hula Grill which we loved) We had reservations but yet we waited about 25 minutes and people who had walked in right before us( but didnt have reservations) were being seated way ahead of us. Whats the point of reservations again? Not only that the couple that didnt have reservations ahead of us got the table we requested by the water since they rejected the initial table they were given (which we ended up with)The hostess was lost and not very professional. Our server was nice but inefficient, slow, and forgetfull. I ordered the Ahi Tuna which lacked seasoning and the sauce was overbearing for the Tuna. My husband's Ono was pretty good. We were not pleased with our visit there. We had a thing from the Marriott for free desert but we didnt bother we just wanted to get out of there and it wasnt worth it to us.
