I went in for a tire alignment, and they told me i need a service before they could do the aliment. It was something i could do myself and didn't need and they got rude with me . so when i came back the next few days with an appointment set after i fixed what was needed they said someone came in before me and it was first come first serve and that it would have to be next week. whats the point of appointments if you claim its first come first serve, i would have came earlier if that was the case. its retaliation because i fixed what was needed for far cheaper than what they wanted. And they lost mine and my family's business.

I took my Jeep in for an alignment, they did not do an alignment. They checked the alignment, which would have been fine and I would have been completely OK with paying the $50 to have the work done even though numerous businesses in town do alignment checks for free, but if they would have centered my steering wheel it would have been fine. Well....the tech said "it is too labor intensive" it literally takes 5min to re-center a steering wheel. I have done it myself numerous times. The tech proceeded to say the adjustment was in the "rack and pinon" well, that is mistake #2 because my Jeep does not have rack and pinion steering. Basically, the tech shouldn't even go near a vehicle with a wrench if he doesn't recognize or know what rack and pinion steering is. They were hoping I was a non-mechanic type person. Little did they know I rebuilt the ENTIRE front end of that Jeep and did an alignment on it BEFORE i took it to them. So, all they did was check the alignment, didn't even do anything with it, lied to me and will not refund my money. I am very displeased with the quality of business this place puts out. This is also NOT my first issue with this place. So I suggest looking elsewhere for your repairs.

Took truck for vacation checkup - totally missed bad tires and rear differential problems which failed during trip, would not take responsibility -'they have a reputation thats great'. owner is obnoxious and doesn't keep promises. Even oil change was botched up and paperwork modified after the fact. DON'T TRUST THEM.

Indy Tire & Auto Service
This Indy Tire was one of the best service I have received. Great service and information. As soon as I walked into the store, I was treated with respect and felt very comfortable. The manager educated me significantly on what tires would be best for my family & was patient with me. He worked within my budget and we found the perfect tires for the winter. The tires are excellent quality and a great price. Indy Tire in Kokomo officially has our service! I recommend this store to all my friends and family.

Did a great job on my Jeep. Only issue was the time it took, however it's understandable considering how busy their shop gets.

Sears Auto Center
Set an appointment 4 days in advance to get my tires rotated and balanced . Apparently the manager does not know how to read an appointment sheet since they did a rotate only and proceeded to tell me it was my fault cause I didn't tell him to balance them when I came in. Plain as day it was in his notes. Didn't even look. Horrible manager.

Went in with a friend to have his jeep realigned. We had $250 hidden in the center console to put towards an Xbox 1 later that day. After they aligned the car the mechanic took it out on a 20 minute test drive, with no permission. After paying for the service and leaving we noticed the money was gone. The manager and owner called us liars and refused to do the right thing and return our money. They are liars and thieves do not take your vehicle to them and don't trust them

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
