Halls Service Center Tire Pros
Thieves.Took my vehicle in to have a flat fixed. They supposedly patched it. My tires were brand new and all the same brand when I bought the vehicle, not even a year earlier. Some time later, my tire light comes on and when inspecting the exact tire they supposedly patched, found that it was a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, much poorer brand with NO tread on it... They had STOLEN MY TIRE!! When I called about the apparent "mix up," they denied it, of course, and didn't offer any help to fix the situation. I can't remember the last time something has made me more FURIOUS. They are thieves. I would never ever recommend this place.

Halls Service Center Tire Pros
My daughter brought in a new Kumho Sense tire for a repair. Halls put a Dunlap tire with 5/32" less wear. Very bad for an all wheel drive car. When confronted with the problem Ron was rude and would do nothing to correct the issue. Shame on you Halls for taking advantage of a single woman.

Po-Boys Used Tires 2
I bought 2 tires from this location on 8-12-16. On 8-19-16, the front passenger tire blew out while driving with my kids in the car. While changing it, I noticed the front driver tire had a knot the size of a golf ball. Both front tires the manager sold me were bad and developed major complications in 7 days. I asked the manager if he could help me with replacing both bad front tires he sold me. He told me I had the wrong shop until I told him I still have my receipt. He then implied I am lying about said situation. He seems like a very nice man, however, has no integrity and is not a good business. I would not recommend him to my nemesis. My kids and I could have been seriously hurt and he refuses to warranty tires, help in any manner, or take accountability.

Bought two tires a couple months ago and one keeps losing air. Took car in to get tired fixed and buy 2 more tires, I was told that the tire was fixed. The next morning I went out to my car and the "fixed" tire was flat. I called (Vern) who I worked with at there store and told him he needed to come and put my spare on, take it to the shop and put a NEW tire on it. He said he would but never showed up.

Nice job! They were courteous and polite. They worked fast, and did a very nice job. I was in and out in no time, and they were pretty busy too.

Went to all the tire places in the area and none of them had my tires in stock because apparently they're uncommon. Came here because I had heard they did a good job and that the owner was very nice, came here expecting to be disappointed like every other place but they had my tire in stock. Very nice and helpful and had the job done in 30 minutes. This place deserves more credit!!

Po-Boys Used Tires 2
Had a very flat tire that would not stay inflated. Limped my car over to Po Boys since it was the closest. Nobody was outside or came to greet me. The open sign was on the door but the door was locked. I waited around for 30 min in case they were at lunch because it was lunchtime. Still nothing, door still locked. Never saw anybody there. My car didn't really need to be driven, but I had to go elsewhere to get my tire since they weren't open even though the sign said they were.

Horrible. Awful. No good. Very bad. Bought a tire from them as a temporary and we ended up having a blow out. THE DAY AFTER WE GOT IT. Sells dangerous products. We called back and they said they weren't even going to refund us.
Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
