Bark Place Grooming
My groomer has done a great job on my dogs for the past few years! The place is clean & service is good.My Biggest Complaint is the owners "annual price increase Feb. 1 of each year". I started paying attention to this posted statement last year. The owner increased prices ~9%. Inflation for last year was 1.5%. How does he/she justify an "annual Price increase"? Does this person pick a # out of their head? Does this person SHARE the increase with employees?See enclosed link for inflation http://www.usinflationcalculator.com/inflation/current-inflation-rates/I do hope this review makes it to the owner because the "annual price increase" is an insult to my intelligence.Still a great place but "price increase?"

Reigning Cats & Dogs Grooming Spa
I have 2 Toy Poodles Gucci & Chanel! My FurBabies are 1 & 2 they both shared a birthday this past Feb! We started out our journey @ PetCo, mostly PetSmart! Their services were good until iWas introduced to Tara through my dog breeder! It took me quite sometime to go with breeder recommendation, however when I finally requested Tara's services... Let's jus say, I've been going every since!! Well, this is like the 4th time but I'm always very well pleased. She has even dyed Chanel. I plan on continuing services with her bc she's given the care & love they deserved while in her care. N service is OUTSTANDING, Thanks! We'll be to see you soon. ..

Pups and Pals
I have taken my two dogs there twice and both times they have come home with a bad case of fleas. They are both on Trifexis and still had adult fleas on them! Even my car had to be sprayed down, that's how bad the fleas were! The last time one of my dogs had a cut on his stomach. And the place has cats everywhere and smells like cat urine. When i got home my eyes were almost swelled shut b/c i'm highly allergic to cats. I had to give my dogs another bath when I got them home to get rid of the fleas from this place b/c it's infested!!

Lesh's Dog Grooming
Doggie heaven. The beautiful well-bred well-groomed dogs hang out and wander around together in a very friendly way. The dog I recently found at Y-W. has terrible separation anxiety. But he didn't even notice me leaving him for his appointment. The horrible matted mess (inoculated to the hilt and bug-free) I brought in was so perfectly groomed at first I said "that's not him". I am still not used to him looking like a beautiful little poodle.

Bark Place Grooming
This is the most professional and caring place I have been. The salon is beautiful and smells great! You are greeted by happy people. My groomer takes the extra time to make my dog feel comfortable and safe, she goes in wagging her tail, unlike other places we have been that I had to drag her in. I highly recommend these great people. Some places have been more expensive, and some cheaper, but for the service and quality they are a real bargain!!!!

IT's A R R RUFF LIFE
There is no place like this one. They have always been so nice and treated me and my dogs with such respect and care. Have great groomers and boarding, too. My dogs love to go to "Granny's" as the owner is older and loves each of the dogs as though she is their grandmother. I would never take mine anywhere else! They are all great!!

Bark Place Grooming
My dog loves going to Bark Place. Bekki, her groomer, does a wonderful job on my Norwich Terrier. My dog runs to her every time, tail wagging! The establishment is very nice and very clean. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. We have been clients for about a year. I highly recommend them! My new puppy will soon be joining my dog for her grooming as well.

Pups and Pals
My re're has been to pups and pals several times for grooming. They are excellent at there job and most of all have a genuine love for animals. That type of business is so much appreciated when dealing with someone's pet.

Pampered Paws Grooming
Jennifer did a great job on our two pup-dogs. A Scottie & Cairn Terrier. They both had a good time and were well taken care of. I just love that she uses all natural products and doesn't charge anything extra like most places.Thank you Jennifer - we'll be back

Excellent, Mrs Karen the owner boarded my two dogs for a week while I was out of town for a week. They stayed at home with "Grammy" and didn't even care to come home with us!!
Tips & Advices
Some pet groomers have viewing areas where owners can sit and watch their pets being treated. Most prevent owners from being in the same room as the pet, however, as the owner's presence might cause the pet to become too excited.
Pets that cannot interact with strangers do not make good professional grooming candidates. Sometimes medication can help, but some groomers don't take animals that have been sedated. If a pet becomes too unruly, a groomer may end the session entirely.
It's best to fully vaccinate pets before bringing them to their first grooming appointment. Dogs should receive the DA2PPC vaccine, which stands for canine distemper, canine andenovirus type 2, canine parvovirus, and parainfluenza. It's also a good idea to vaccinate dogs against Bordedatella (aka “kennel cough”). In fact, New York City requires dogs receive both DAPP and Bordetella shots. Cats, meanwhile, should get the FVRCP vaccine: feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus infection, and panleukopenia. In addition, all pets should be up to date on their rabies shots. Owners should wait at least 24 hours after getting their pet vaccinated before bringing it to the groomers.
Technically, there is no such thing as a pet that is too old for a professional groomer. In fact, older pets with joint or mobility issues often can't groom themselves and need someone else to clean them. However, pets that are blind, deaf, or have serious medical issues might not do well at a groomer, especially if the person is inexperienced. Owners should feel free to ask potential groomers about their understanding of elderly pet issues. Often, older pets will exhibit puppy-like behavior and squirm or yelp during grooming. Alternatively, they might not be able to stand for long periods of time. As such, grooming an older pet usually takes more time than grooming a young one.
Puppies and kittens should be at least 10 weeks old before their first professional grooming session. They should be used to being gently handled by strangers and comfortable being separated from their owners for a few hours at a time.
