We have been using Meadowbrooke Kennel for boarding and obedience training for over 10 years. Five dogs have graduated from Ace's training program with flying colors. Couldn't be more pleased with the caring and professional staff. Wagging tails coming and going say it all. If you are looking for an "eye candy" facility you may miss this exceptional place. It's clean, the runs ample and the dogs are very well cared for. Highly recommend to all my dog owner friends.

10.North Knox Veterinary Clinic
4700 Central Avenue Pike
The best veterinary clinic ever! I moved to Knoxville in October of 1993 with a 10 month old puppy named Sleepy. This place was just down the street and I am so glad I chose them to take care of my babies! They loved and provided excellent medical care of Sleepy until I decided to have her put to sleep at the age of 17.5. In addition to Sleepy they have taken wonderful care of my other puppies Maggie (since 2002), Bentley (since 2006) and Hershey (since 2008). I had another dog Maxie that I had to give away after she bit my son in 1998, and the owner kept going to NKVC and they kindly kept me informed about how she was doing too! I can call and ask any question and they always help me and give me good advice. I truly believe they love my dogs and treat them as their own when they are there. I have been going to this clinic for almost 20 years now and it is THE BEST!!!!!

PetSafe Village (PSV) is a five star resort and spa. Under the outstanding leadership of Justin Wiseman, Facility Manager and Jason Goins, Assistant Manager PSV offers a variety of services: boarding, grooming, day care, day camp and training. While other facilites offer similar amneities, PSV differs being staffed 24/7 with an excellent group of people, many being ceritifed. Suzanne Brown, Doggy Day Camp Leader, has developed a wonderful program providing fun and exercise for our beloved K-9s. Prior to admission to camp, dogs are carefully evaluated for their appropriateness for socialization with their canine peers. Once in camp they are continually supervised and encourage to join in playful activities. Campers enjoy field trip to Pet Safe Park where they can "run free," swim and participate in agility exercises. My dog adores his camp counselors, Suzanne, Cathi, Katie and Jeni. Even though he attends camp daily his enthusiasm never diminishes. Our commnity is fortunate to have PetSafe Village, where ou pets are well cared for in a loving, safe, secure environment.

24.Paws & Claws
1975 Cunningham Rd
I adore Cheryl and Paws and Claws. I always know my dog is getting lots of personalized attention when she stays there. I love that several people are there playing with and caring for my dog. The runs are roomy, and there is plenty of time in the play yard. Plus, I can tell they genuinely love the animals. Feel very lucky to have found somewhere I'm so comfortable leaving my dog. Also, I take my long-haired cat here to be groomed. She's a terror to us, but she is an angel at Paws and Claws. : )

26.Lange Animal Hospital
10405 Kingston Pike
About 17 years ago I tried a local ""cat"" clinic, and was totally dissatisfied. Found Lange and have been going there for about 16 years with all my cats. Always have 3 cats, as one dies, adopt another. I've used every Dr. at Lange and they're all great. Some have different areas of expertise when things get complicated. Yes, elder animal care is expensive, but it will be anywhere you go. Lange is different as they have access to many imaging techniques and you can spend as much or as little as you want. Of all my cats, Biscuit was my fav, and putting her down was harder than any other cat, but Dr. Lange was the greatest and she lived about a year longer thanks to their expertise. They aren't great with reptiles, though, but they'll refer you to someone else.
27.Cedar Bluff Animal Clinic
9049 Middlebrook Pike
We have been going to Cedar Bluff since 2003. Have had multiple pets treated there. Very pleased with service. They really love animals and take the time to listen to the owner. We moved from the West Knoxville area in 2005 to Powell. There are, several vets right down the road over here, but we continue to bring our 4 cats to Cedar Bluff. Wouldn't go anywhere else!
28.Rocky Hill Animal Hospital
7656 S Northshore Dr
I came to RHAH in April/May of 2011 when my 8 year old mixed dog Lucy began exhibiting some health issues. My previous veterinarian had just retired, and some of his techs/office staff began working for Dr. Jeter's new operation at RHAH. Unfortunately the prognosis was not good for my dog, but Dr. Jeter and his staff were extremely helpful and considerate, gave me the options available, and did not push me into one. They helped me ease Lucy's discomfort, and she was able to feel almost back to normal for a couple months before the issue (which we were pretty sure was terminal) finally won out. Through the whole process the staff of RHAH helped me and Lucy and I always felt they had her interest at heart. They were sensitive to the emotional aspect of caring for a terminally ill pet, and were a big help when Lucy finally passed on. These folks are the real deal, I would trust them with my pets in the future (still too early for me, still not ready to let go and get another pet). I'm sure nobody and no veterinarian operation is perfect, but these guys are really good.
