Glover, A Michael MD
My son did not have a good experience with Dr. Glover. He operated on him for a pilonidal cyst. He used the technique of wide open excision which left a wound 5-6 cm in length that was so deep it took almost 15 feet of surgical tape to pack it (that amount was in this surgeon's notes.) This procedure does not have a good success rate (some studies state a ~50% failure rate) but we were not given any other option. We were sent home with bottles of surgical tape with verbal instructions to unpack and repack the wound every other day because it had to heal from the inside out. We were shocked when we took off the dressing, saw the length of the wound, and then began pulling out the nearly 5 yards of tape. We fortunately had a physician friend who came over to teach us what to do. It took 4 1/2 months to heal with our physician friend's help but then would re-open every few months at the slightest provocation (sitting several hours for a month during summer school, etc.) After months of additional professional wound care (from a wound care center in Oak Ridge) we decided to look outside of Knoxville and discovered that there is another surgical procedure that has a success rate of as high as 97% called the Cleft Lift. This has been the answer for my son's healing. In contrast to Dr. Glover, the new surgeon showed diagrams and written explanations of exactly what would be done and why. We were shown pictures (anonymous) of the buttocks of others who had undergone this procedure so that my son would know the end result. We were given a video on exactly how to perform his wound care before his surgery and the wound care was demonstrated by both the nurse right after surgery and the surgeon on the next day's follow-up appointment. The new surgeon called the night of his surgery, after we got home, to check on my son and kept in contact during his entire recovery.

Was perfect on my pain management and really seemed concerned and helpful for awhile. Then their "LAB" says I failed my drug screen for something I never taken, I have never seen or heard of the med that they say showed. Im greatly disappointed and really upset that they have BAD TESTS. Guess someone else needed my clean urine. Beware of their lab test that they send off.

Alternative Counseling Center
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The therapist, Rosa Whitmer, was very rude, unprofessional, and interrupted my husband numerous times while they were filling out the paperwork. My husband and his ex didn't even make it past the 30 minutes of paperwork before she told them the situation was too "convulated" and she didn't want to do business with them. They were only there as per court orders to work on communication between them as parents, but the therapist stated that, that's not what was going to take place and insinuated their daughter was mentally unstable. Their daughter wasn't even part of the therapy! She informed them, "Let me show you how this works," as she shredded their paperwork in front of them, billed them for an hour, and told them "We did NOT do business today." They contacted me for MY billing info and insurance a week later. The manager and therapist both threatened to bill ME and send ME to collections to demand a payment. I wasn't even there at all nor even in the building!

UT Medical Center
Great Surgery Experience, HORRIBLE BILLING EXPERIENCEWe paid the cash price for the procedure at the time with a credit card and were told that we were fully paid up and we had provided the proper amount for a cash price payment. The hospital then submitted our claim to insurance(they were never told to do this) and told us because of that we had to pay the insurance price and would have to pay an additional $2000. After four phone calls and many emails the matter is still not resolved and I have yet to hear back from a manager after requesting one four times. Good luck if you ever have a billing problem with this hospital they are terrible. We are still trying to resolve the matter two weeks later and I still have not heard from anyone in upper management. I continue to get the low-level individuals who do me no good. FIX YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Absolutely Terrible.

Testerman, M Chris, MD
I absolutely LOVE Dr. Testerman, she was recommended by the therapists at Patricia Neal Rehab Center (they really know their stuff ) and I was not disappointed. She is one of, if not the best in the state and country in her field.

Edmunds Meade C Md
Dr. Meade Edmunds is as fine a person as you'll ever meet! As a physician he is head and shoulders above any other Gastrointestinal doctor I've ever used. I refer everyone I can to him, because I know he will do his very best and his staff will do everything and anything they can to take care of you. He really listens, I've never felt rushed in anyway. Just an excellent experience!

I have to admit, I read the reviews beforehand and didn't know if I wanted to keep my appointment. I was very nervous and went in with bad expectations. I was pleasantly surprised when the staff was all very helpful and friendly while being professional. No I didn't get medication on my first visit but I had some left from a prescription and go back in 2 weeks.. All in all, the experience I had was as pleasant as a doctor's visit can be.. The way I see it, treat people with respect and you will get that in return. Since it was my first visit it did take about 2 hours and 45 minutes but that is to be expected for a first appointment...

Harassment is name of game there. Constantly badgering people and making them jump through hoops. They used to be best, not anymore
