In any business transaction it is the consumer's responsibility to do their due diligence. People will give bad reviews because they just think everything will go fine, but it sometimes doesn't. I gave 5 stars because at the bottom line, I am happy with the project.Life is a crap shoot. You roll the dice and hope for the best. I got lucky. The salesman said it would take 10 weeks and it did. The crew came out and were friendly, but for the most part quiet. They concentrated on their job and all went well. We had 11 windows installed. My only problem was with the salesman. He never advised me that there was an energy rebate. I only found out when the contractor told me after the job. The salesman also didn't write the order correctly and some materials weren't listed for the installers. They called him and made him come out to the job to get them there, which he did. Other issues with the salesman, but nothing for me to discredit the company.

The owner is rude and unprofessional, selling an inferior product for inflated prices. There are better options in Knoxville.

My wife and I moved down from Chicago and bought a fixer upper to remodel. We needed about a dozen doors and and 18 windows. We discovered Tim and Al's though one of our contractors and went down to see what they had.We met with Robert who seemed like a friendly man that was going to be easy to deal with. We told him about our project and picked out some windows and doors from the thousands he had in stock. We haggled a little on final price, but walked away with a terrific deal.I think the other reviewers seemed a bit harsh.

Short and Sweet...categorically the best workmanship and quality available ...we were treated like the only customer with our hound being #1. John and his crews are top notch professionals.

Do NOT order anything from them. Ever. If they have it in stock maybe it is a different story I don't know. We ordered a door. They said it would be in in a couple days. We had people coming to install it 3 days later. 3 days later there was still no door and they had not called. Had to delay the workers. We got a story about the warehouse loosing the door and having to get another ready blah blah blah. When we got the door it was already hung in the frame and was securely closed to make installation easier. The workers installed it and when we opened the door we found serious damage to the side of the door that had been closed against the frame obviously caused by a forklift at the warehouse. The warehouse people had to have know the door was damaged when they hung and closed it and they sent it anyway. I immediately took photos of the damage and went back to the store. They said they would order another door immediately and call me when it was in. Then I could just take my door off the hinges with no need to uninstall the frame and the new door would hang in the same place. This was right before Thanksgiving so they told me it would be the week after before I got the call because the warehouse was closed. It is now the end of the second week after and I have still received no call. They never answer their phone and I have yet to get a response to any message left on the machine during the entire process.

I purchased a french door from them on 10/26/15 they told me it would take 2 weeks, so on 11/16/15 I call, they gave me the run around, it is on a truck, I have send an email, I am just the "middle man" Finally on 11/20/15 they told me a door had arrived but not my door, I request a refund, it took 2 days for it to hit my account. I have people at my house to put my door in, with NO DOOR!! I had to order it thru another company. Save yourself the time and stress and go somewhere else. My situation was poorly handled, they knew on 11/16/15 I was not going to get my door and they were not professional enough to tell me upfront.

Buy elsewhere, I know I will never spend another cent here.Firstly-THEY GAVE US THE WRONG DOORS! We ordered 4" & these dopes gave us two SIX inchers- Incompetent, weak and lame. It was easier to just cut 'em down on site.Secondly and to my mind more important they are RUDE, UNHELPFUL and QUITE UNFRIENDLY JERKS. More than once. They act as though the customer is there for them not the other way 'round. That doesn't fly with me, boys.I just wanted you to know I need a ten wood double-hung windows, some french doors and and I was going to go to ya'll. Strike three boyosNow---> now? - not.Buddy- I can by doors, windows lots o' places but yours' isn't one of them anymoreAnd let me assure you; I will urge everyone at my child's preschool, our church and at our workplace(s) to follow suit. And I will tell them why. I hope this helps you to enjoy being an hostile, unhappy jerk.I won't darken your door again

Magnolia Window & Door Company
We have a 1950s house that still had the original windows in it. Our KAB bill was outrageous! The drafts in the winter and heat in the summer that came through those windows was ridiculous. We had been doing our homework of reading other window companies reviews and getting quote after quote. After meeting with John King, who by the way is also the owner, we knew Magnolia Windows and Door Company would be getting our business. It took some time to get our windows made and shipped to us, but they were all (13), custom made. Then, let's talk about the installers...we had Brian and Dylan. Talk about super good at what they do! These 2 guys impressed us so much, that when we have our next sliding glass door and deck built, we will be requesting them by name, or no deal! They took their time on the installation, no rush job, no details overlooked.Any questions that we had they gladly answered. And, did I mention we could not be happier with these guys! We will be telling anybody who needs new windows to go through Magnolia, and ask for Brian and Dylan to install them! Love you guys! Thank you so very much!!The Inman Family, Knoxville, TN

Windows and installation good after they ordered the correct size. Do NOT let them do your siding. They use a subcontractor which i knew was going to be trouble when they first pulled up. Poor workmanship plus a lot of stress. They also collect for the job. No window world guy comes out when it's done, inspects, and collects/gets paperwork signed. So the subcontractor on a friday claims he just lacks a few hours work and wants me to sign payment for the job. Claims his guys families are doing without and window world won't pay them till i pay them. Dummy me. Late to show but always an excuse. Not the guys on the commercials. Big deal to get a copy of the warranties from them.

Just a moment...
