Moore's Landscaping
Our new house had a problem with the lawn not being graded correctly. When it rained a major portion of our front yard would have water pooled for a couple of days. It ended up killing the sod. We tried contacting several companies and had problems with them answering calls, returning calls, and showing up for appointments. Tim Moore (yes - your talking to the owner) answered the first time we called and we were able to set up an appointment for the next day. Tim showed up for the appointment on time and explained to us what needed to be done and gave us options for how to accomplish it. We ended up having Moore's Landscaping correct the drainage problems and re-sod our entire yard. Tim gave us a written contract. They did a fantastic job. The lawn looks great and they fixed the drainage issues. They honored the contract price even though there were delays (not their fault in any way) that had to have cost them time and money. Moore's Landscaping is very professional, honest, a local company, and I highly recommend them. We already have them lined up for a second job.

Best Price Tree Service
We recently used Best Price Tree Service to cut down a huge River Maple tree approximately 70 ft. tall and 48 inches in diameter at the base that was located in our front yard. The tree was near the end of its life and disease was setting in. Roger Maiden, the owner of Best Price Tree Service gave us a very good price and he and his employees did a remarkable job taking down the tree. He delivered his services exactly as promised. Mr. Maiden is extremely professional, dependable and honest. We would definitely recommend him to anyone needing quality tree service, and if in the future we need a tree service we will definitely call upon him again. John and Lynne, Farragut, TN

Best Price Tree Service
I use Best Price Tree Service every other year to maintain the trees on my property. I have 5 acres of woods. They trim around the house so I don't have tree limbs overhanging the house. They remove dead trees. When I landscaped, they cleared the big trees for me. They remove limbs that are blocking pathways or blocking the growth of other trees. They cut the larger logs into firewood and chip the smaller limbs. They go through with a blower and clear the work areas afterward. Today they took down a large black walnut in the middle of a newly-planted garden without killing the new plants. I highly recommend Roger and his crew. You may call me for a reference at 368-4154.

Acadia Landscape
Phil and his team at Acadia Landscape are wonderful guys! I am a volunteer coordinator for CAC Office on Aging, and Acadia regularly donates their time, equipment, and manpower to cleanup low-income seniors yards. They offer their services for free and give up part of their Saturday's to help keep these local seniors in their homes. Even on volunteer projects, they do a professional job - paying attention to the smaller details and leaving the yard looking beautiful! The guys work quickly, efficiently, and with a smile. I am very happy to have met Phil and the Acadia team. They are not only fantastic landscapers; but they also, care about the community they live in.

Moore's Landscaping
Posted by Steinwaygal on 09/18/2008I can't say enough great things about the job Moore's Landscaping did on my front yard. Tim and Matt were absolutely wonderful to work with, and they completely transformed our front yard from something that was plain and unremarkable to something fabulous and beautiful. The stone walls are gorgeous, the walkway stunning, the plants and archway, just beautiful. The entire job far exceeded my expectations. I found them to be very honest, hardworking, and reliable. We will definitely be using them for future projects and recommend them without any hesitation at all.

Moore's Landscaping
I enthusiastically recommend Tim and his professional crew! They transformed our outdated front yard landscaping into a beautiful, fresh look using encore azaleas, English dwarf boxwoods, Kousa dogwood, hostas, drift roses, and other plants. They bordered a large area with extensive stone work and boulders. His team also installed pathway lighting and spotlights along our walkway. Tim kept us updated throughout our process and follows up regularly to ensure customer satisfaction. Thanks to Matt, Lacey, and Josh for your excellent work--we love it!

Moore's Landscaping
Moore's landscaping does beautiful work. I have a black thumb except when it comes to weeds, I can grow those all day long. I met with Tim and showed him my embarrassing landscaping he helped me come up with a plan and gave me a proposal that met my needs and told me where there was flexibility if it didn't meet my budget. Even during the strangely rainy summer we are having the job was completed on time. I've gone from having the worst landscaping on my street to having the best. I would recommend Tim and Moore's to anyone.

The Tree Service
After having the work done, found out I was over charged. Paid 600.00, while others 250.00-325.00. The Tree Service came out twice. The tree was pruned to my satisfaction; came home the next day and it was like a " Charlie Brown" tree. The worst thing about it was they lied and said it was not them, when my neighbors told me they saw them. The job and been written down twice. No one ever called and questioned it! I would not recommend.

Scenery Tree Service
Larry,04/20/2016 Wonderful quality on time at a great price. I had 19m trees taken down and many other trimmed. When my neighbor saw the quality of the clean up, he hired Scenery to take down 20 trees. His neighbor had several trees around the pool trimmed, Most important, Chris is a great communicator. He keeps you informed on progress, shows up when he says... (COPIED AND PASTED FROM SUPERPAGES.COM)
Tips & Advices
Irrigation system advantages:
  • Lowers water bill and maintenance time with scheduled watering
  • Evenly distributes water
Irrigation system disadvantages:
  • Professionally installed systems cost between $3,000-$4,000 for a quarter-acre lot.
  • Some do-it-yourself systems cost up to $1,500 but are difficult to install.
  • You may need to call a professional electrician and plumber, adding $300-$600 to your project.
Some plants can stand up to the cold weather, like kale or pansies. These can be planted in the autumn or early winter. Other plants need to wait until the soil is warm and ready. Plant perennial flowers in mid-autumn or mid-spring. If you're planting from seed or sprout, you can generally find information about planting conditions on the package.
Why get artificial grass?
  • Cuts down on lawn maintenance
  • It's environmentally friendly since there‚Äôs no need to water.
  • Artificial grasses may be more attractive than real grass in drought-stricken areas.
Why stick to the real deal?
  • Artificial grass has a high upfront cost - $15 to $20 per square foot.
  • It can be difficult to install.
  • Inexpensive options might look unnatural.
  • It gets hot in the sun.
First, determine which pests you're dealing with. Mounds or tunnels indicate moles or voles. Apply castor oil to your lawn; they'll find another digging spot. Determine which bugs you have by pouring a bucket of soapy water onto the lawn. The bugs will surface so you can identify them. Milky spore and nematodes keep grubs and other bugs at bay. Insecticidal soap also works. The best way to prevent pests is with good yard maintenance. Certain bugs prefer overwatered lawns or yards with thatches. Regular mowing, watering, and dethatching discourage pests from moving in.
Fertilizer isn't always necessary, but it can keep your lawn looking lush and healthy. Use fertilizer with slow release nitrogen so it doesn't encourage weeds to grow. Keep in mind that overfertilizing can spur weed growth. However, under-fertilizing can result in weak grass, which gives weeds more space to take root.
