Weather Doctor Heating & Air
made three separate appointments, they were "no-shows/no-calls" for all three. I have used the Weather Doctor for the past few years, I will not bother to call them again.

R & R Heating & Air Cond
I had no idea that YP would remove my original review when I wrote a new review. My original review told all the details of my trials and tribulations with this company. More than another month has passed and we still have no satisfaction from this company. Be forewarned. You do not want to do business with Rudy or Rusty and if you do, don't pay in full until the job is done to your satisfaction. I don't expect to ever see or hear from these disreputable men again. Believe it or not, today, 1/4/17 the job has been completed. It only took 3 days short of 11 weeks. Rudy couldn't believe I had complained to the BBB, but I believe that is what got the job completed. I still would not hire this company for HVAC work in the future, but Rudy did apologize to me and the work is complete.

Dean Plumbing Heating and Cooling
Jonathan Dean and his crew came to the rescue! I had many other estimates performed by other companies - all the big names here in Knoxville. He beat their pricing and was able to provide 0 down 0% financing. Most importantly, he thoroughly explained my options, and my house went from 90 degrees back to 70 in less than 30 hours from my first call, with an offer of portable cooling units. I got a great unit, at a great price, and one with locally available parts if service is needed or when the 10 year warranty runs out. I have had the unit for a year now. I wanted to be sure there was service after the sale as well. There was a hiccup with the unit, a small leak caused by a manufacturing defect. That was handled, at 0 charge, the afternoon I called about it, on a Sunday. I have been extremely happy with the entire experience. Thank you, Jonathan Dean. You and your crew do fantastic work and provide professional, courteous and prompt service.

Advanced Heating & Air
From reading the other reviews I am starting to see a pattern. I too was given this company from my Home Warranty and have had terrible service. We put in a request to fix our heat in our home yesterday as we have no heat at all. We were told we would get a response in 24 hours. I called them today (about 22 hours later) as I was getting worried it was close to the weekend and I did not want to get forgotten over the weekend with cold weather and a young baby in the house. They responded to me that they had no appointments till Monday. When I shockingly replied that I cannot wait till Monday as the house is at 49 degrees and I have a newborn in the house they stated they are totally booked up. I asked why they did not call to tell me they were booked up because I was going to need to find someone else - they stated they had 24 hours to respond. Unbelievable - so they left me hanging trying to find someone before they weekend.Obviously don't like their Home Warranty customers!!
Tips & Advices
You can keep your air conditioner running efficiently with some preventative care measures. Shut off the power to your AC before cleaning it or performing any of these tasks:  clean your filter at least twice a year; remove leaves and twigs from cages; clean the fins with a garden hose or special spray, then use a butter knife to straighten any that are crooked; keep your yard clean so the fins won't get blocked; cover the unit up for winter; and make sure it's level or you run the risk of damaging the inner workings of the unit.
To clean your air conditioner drain, first shut off the power to your unit at both the thermostat and the breaker. Then remove the drain pan. If the pan is full of water, soak up the liquid with a few towels or rags or use a wet vacuum. You can use a solution of water and distilled vinegar, or substitute peroxide for the vinegar, to clean out the drain pipe. Let the pipe sit for a while in the solution and then put all the parts back in place. Once you start using your air conditioner on a regular basis, check it periodically to ensure condensation isn't building up.
If you happen to live in a hot and humid area of the country, drainage problems can occur with your unit since moisture can trap itself inside the system. Routine maintenance can cut down on drainage issues by cleaning out any mold or algae from blocking the drain. If you notice moldy smells whenever you turn the thermostat down, check on your system.
If you notice your system is acting inconsistently, the sensor is most likely out of place. Turn off the unit and reach behind its control panel while carefully bending the sensor back into place near the evaporative coil.
Find out where the noises are coming from. A banging or clanking sound could be due to a loose part. If you hear a hissing sound, it's most likely because of a refrigerant leak and you should contact an HVAC technician as soon as possible.
