I'd rather travel to Corpus Christi than go to Kleberg Christus Spohn. On one occasion my oldest grand daughter had a terrible cough. When we took her to the hospital the ER doctor saw her for maybe one minute, ordered blood work and came back to tell us she just had a cold after being there almost 8 hours! She got worse by the next day so we took her to CC where she was quickly admitted with Croup. And when my daughter delivered there the anesthesiologist did her epidural wrong so he had to redo it and 3 days after delivering she had to return thanks to his error! DO NOT go there. It's a common "joke" in the kingsville community that if you want to die then go to this hospital.

My mother was admitted to your hospital on Thanksgiving Day this year and remained in the hospital for six (6) day. She was released on Tuesday of the following week. During this stay she rec'd to utmost of care and attention from all of the doctors and nurses who cared for her care. All family and friends who visited her were very cordially greeted at the hospital enterance door and even upon there departure were wished a great day. Dr. Victor Trevino and his staff demonstrated the best of care, not taking away anything from the rest of the volunteers and maintenance crew. As a military veteran that have been in a few hospitals I witnessed the most dedicated medical staff that I have not seen in any other hospital. My compliments on such a great staff all the way up from the volunteers to the kitchen staff, medical staff and attendants. My mom's name is Maria L. Trevino from Falfurrias, TX and was admitted with a mild heart attack on Thanksgiving Day. May The Good Lord continue to bless your hospital with continued dedicated staff and a Very blessed and Merry Christmas to all. Lino Trevino St 305 Beverly Dr Schertz, TX 78154 210-632-3153

I'm appalled at the nursing staff here. No one has come to advise us of the patient's diet, length of stay, etc... since she was brought to the hospital room. We've asked several times for assistance and have been given the brush off. I'm going to have to do some research to find out who an official complaint can be made to. While I understand that nurses are overworked, that's no excuse for poor patient care. The rooms are dirty (to the point that you can't even see outside the windows are that dirty), the paint on the wall is chipped, and the squeeky bathroom door is pretty bad. In all honesty, the rooms are beyond outdated. There are also signs advising patients to remind the hospital staff to wash their hands before they administer any tests. Idk about you, but I don't think I should have to tell hospital staff to wash their hands. They should know that already. I'm just saddened that we're forced to be here and I hope that future patients get better treatment. PS: If you are the medical POA for your parent, do not let them make decisions without your consent. If you can avoid this place, do so. Run far far away. :(
6.CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Shoreline
600 Elizabeth St
87 year old Alzheimer patient sent from Dr. office to Spohn Shoreline ER to be admitted for infected leg wound facing possible amputation if not treated and healed. After initial triage sat in ER waiting room for 4+ hours and nurse came out and said we forgot to get a urine sample. Now, 6+ hours in, still sitting in ER. Patient is confused and anxious, wound is oozing from bandage administered at Dr. office. No relief in sight. What an efficient and caring staff.
