My husband and I decided to go to Verizon and do a contract, as opposed to pre-paid. We went to their location in Kingsport Town Center and they were very nice and helpful. UNFORTUNATELY, there was a mixup and they put my husband and I on 2 separate accounts, which overcharged us on our first bill. After customer service (the 1-800 number) finally fixed it, we realized a few days later that we didn't have the data plan we were told by the store that we'd have. They told us 1gig would be shared and it was $20. We thought "hey that's 500mb each, that's fine." -turns out, they signed us up for 500mb to share at $20 a month. I call the store and tell them about the mixup, as I wouldn't have even got the contract if I'd known we would have shared so little data, 500mb to share isn't much! Honestly, I didn't even know how all that worked until they said 500mb each is 1gig. Anyways, they told me their was nothing they could do and acted like I made the whole thing up. I know mistakes happen, but I also know that big companies like this could at least make it right or apologize. Just be careful that you don't get misinformed!
