The Pet Cove
I highly recommend this pet store. I did not know Tracy when I called her as a new customer and beginning hobbyist, to order 24 cardinal tetras. I knew her supplier and I knew her reputation. I did not receive any special treatment, and Tracy does not know me.Fifty years ago, I was a successful breeder and a supplier of Discus to Gulf Fish Farms. I also bred many different species of finicky tetras. I am now retired, and once again a beginning hobbyist, but I know what it takes to maintain a commercial tropical fish operation. Tracy knows how to care for her fish, as well as her customers.I also purchased a fish from Tracy's tanks to sample her water, and I looked carefully at her inventory. I am confident that her freshwater is well suited for hobbyists in the area..I am now another satisfied customer of Pet Cove... and all 24 of my new cardinal tetras are fat, sassy, and colored up in their new conditioning tank.
Tips & Advices
Pet owners usually sign a waiver stating that any injury or illness a dog suffers while at daycare is the responsibility of the owner. However, most facilities carry liability insurance and pet business insurance in the event of a serious incident. To prevent illness, facilities are strict about requiring proof of vaccination and general health from a veterinarian prior to accepting a dog. However, in an off-leash setting, scuffles or fights might occur. Reputable facilities will often hire vet assistants who can treat minor injuries and under-the-weather dogs.  For anything more serious, a good daycare should make it a priority to get the dog to a vet, and get in immediate contact with the owner.
