Super 8 Kimball
“I love the smell of new carpet in the morning.”I stayed here just as this hotel is finishing major re-modeling. There’s the smell of new carpet and the look of new tiles. The rooms have new furnishings which are arranged in a way that’s practical as well as esthetic. I’ll let my pics speak for that but want to point out their particular choice of desks. This is the most original in my experience to hotel upgrades. That is, an elevated, second surface similar to PC purposed desks. More than one of the lamps have the built-in [3 pronged for grounding] outlets so no more moving things to search for one. In fact the design team is very liberal with the amount of electrical outlets available. They didn’t overlook the flat screen TV with HDMI either which is becoming the staple of modern upgrades. The redone bathroom has fixtures which are positioned conveniently. I’m bringing up that point as a number of places, not just hotels, are installing commodes right next to a wall complete with a TP dispenser at or just below knee level. The Wi-Fi was excellent with no dropouts or weak signals. I got all my latest vidz and other files downloaded and uploaded. Now, speaking of video, I’m knocking them one full point for the cable. I’m noticing a trend that many hotels/motels are either changing or their cable companies are re-structuring the choices available for cable TV. I completely understand that. I’m usually watching online entertainment anyway. But having an HBO guide in the room with no HBO available? That’s just cruel. Seriously, no cable isn’t a deal breaker, I just dock points for not keeping current info. My take is, I’m just passing through, and you’re there all day. All being said though, they will have my repeat business and are located conveniently just 22 miles inside the Nebraska state line after a long, boring, windy, drive through Wyoming. Keep up the good efforts
