Triz Automotive
I first went to TRIZ Automotive two years ago in 2011 and have been a happy valued customer since. The knowledge of the mechanic staff is impeccable! The Customer Service experience from start to finish - is astonishing! *Even meeting me door-side and helping me into the office! This means a lot since I am disabled - to be treated like a "Normal Person" ! Pedro the owner and his Mechanic staff not only are professional and humble - they are reputable and well known in the community! Some places now a days, especially with the economy will nickle and dime a customer, but at TRIZ they understand the hard times, and fix what needs to be, and in a timely fashion! This is really wonderful because you know that Pedro (Owner of TRIZ) really strives to run his business on honest morals give ALL Customer(s) the best price at ALL times! NO NEED TO WAIT - for specials or coupons like other places -or- go to a dealership and have things cost 10x what TRIZ Automotive can repair it for you!I also appreciate the quality of the oil they use, ($28 for complete oil change) and the parts they use in fixing your car/mini-van etc. ($179 Brakes for most cars)*They will beat any estimate, or quality of work any other place! I tell you the truth, I know there are coupons or deals at other places, but when it comes to your transportation needs of your family/friends - they are precious cargo, right? So instead of trying to pinch pennies on a oil change or repair - take the extra time to find and locate this business! You can't go wrong! This is only area in our financial life, we can't afford to do wrong! You know, there have been times that I needed more then an oil change, and Pedro the owner has driven me home and picked me back up - so I didn't have to wait in the mechanic shop! That is really going the extra mile! I hear now-a-days he even loans his van so customer's can get back and forth to their destination!Goes without saying I 100% Recommend TRIZ Automotive - so write the following down! Put on your refrigerator, your phone, in your glove box, etc. TRIZ Automotive! (253) 856-1166Owner: Pedro24236 104th Ave SE, Kent, WA 98030

Triz Automotive
A friend recommended Triz 3 years ago when my old car was having problems - I went there, had a good experience, I remember being impressed with the customer service, honesty and fast efficient service. It wasn't too expensive and was completed within my work hours. (dropped the car off before work, picked it up on my way home) I have since bought a brand new car and have had no need for a shop, as it is still under warranty.More recently, my grandparents (in their late 80's) were in town from Oregon, their 23 year old Lincoln (in excellent condition) was acting up, so I recommended they bring it in to Triz while I was at work. Pedro and Allen went completely above and beyond, they test drove the car and knew immediately that things were not right. They offered my grandmother a ride home to keep her comfortable and said they would take care of the problem. The kept me in the loop - finding that another shop in OR had done an awful service when it was last brought in - spark plugs were gapped too large, the oil was 2 quarts high, and a number of other issues. They even found a mouse nest in the air filter cavity that they said had to have been there awhile. They performed a complete tune up an just a few hours, and allowed us to take care of payment for my grandmother. The car is now running as good as new and we are all very impressed with the fantastic customer service that we received.I would definitely recommend Triz automotive to anyone in the are looking for an honest mechanic with their customers best interest in mind.

Saggu Automotive Repair
I went to a couple of shops nearby looking to get the front disk brake pads replaced on my 2003 Toyota RAV4. One place told me it would be over $500 to replace the pads and the rotors, if necessary, which was beyond my financial ability. The place across the street from Saggu said they didn't have time, and they had the parts in stock with three hours until closing. I just happened to see the Saggu shop when I left there, so I pulled in and inquired. The mechanics at Saggu were very friendly and professional. They were just finishing another car, so I handed them the key. I insisted on just getting the pads replaced, and was told that it would be done by 6PM, provided they could get the parts from the parts dealer. They ended up having to replace the rotors. When I showed up at 6, it was done. They showed me the old parts, which were severely worn. Total cost: half of what the other shop wanted. These guys rock. I highly recommend them. They saved the day.

Premier Automotive Services
I brought my Ford F150 here on the recommendation of a friend. I was really impressed with how knowledgeable and thorough Ryan and all the Premier team are. They did not go looking for every little problem they could scare me into fixing. The shop was clean, the service friendly, and I was very happy with how smooth my truck ran after the servicing. They did point out a sound they were hearing from one of the rear tires, and suggested I might want to check the tire balance. The tires were under warranty so I took the truck in and had the tires rotated and balanced. That also made a huge difference in how the truck drove. I had mistakenly thought the issue with the tires had been part of the engine running rough. With Premier's help my truck is now running much better!

Self Serve Garage
A single mother of five came to Self Serve Garage with squealing brakes looking to save some money on brake repairs. Self Serve Garage works as a do-it-yourself shop, and has mechanics that are for hire in a couple capacities. 1) Customers can hire the mechanic to repair their vehicle. 2) Customers can receive advice/guidance from the mechanics for their projects. This mom decided she wanted to learn how to do her own repairs and save money at the same time. She hired a mechanic to guide her through the repair, and saved over $150. Self Serve Garage offers an “option” to vehicle owners of the Pacific Northwest. Give a man (woman) a fish, feed him for a day. Teach him to fish; he can feed him/herself for a lifetime...

Acer Auto Repair Inc
While on a road trip I had a wheel bearing go out. I took my car to Acer because it was close and boy, did I ever get lucky. Sam and the guys at Acer started out charging a 1/3 less than any other quote I got and even after discovering they needed to take the bearing to the machine shop, the only additional cost was that of the machine work itself. They stayed late hours trying to get it done since they knew I was stranded at the time, and were pleasant and and accommodating for the entire ordeal. Thank you very much, Acer!

Premier Automotive Services
As always, very satisfied. You've done all the work on my two vehicles, as well as my mothers and daughters cars for more than a decade and we wouldn't go anywhere else. Being non-mechanical people we have never felt you've performed or recommended any unnecessary service and are grateful that when we do have a problem you will give us the most reasonable solution. Thank you Ryan and Staff for your professionalism, honesty and superior work over the years.

Premier Automotive Services
Ryan and the Premier 1 team are excellent. Being an ex-mechanic myself I can spot good honest service and that is what I get from Ryan and his team. Every time I can one of my cars to this team I know I am getting the whole honest story. Don't let me forget that the prices at Premier 1 are competitive with anyone in the area. If you want to feel safe with who is working on your car take it to these folks.

Elliott Tire & Service - Kent
When you blow your tire on the freeway on your way to work, you know you're going to have a bad day. I was towed to Elliott's Tire and was waiting for the mechanic to come back and give me a list of "necessary" mechanical repairs. Fortunately these guys actually had my best interest in mind and had me on my way in no time. They showed me exactly the work that was performed and I was very appreciative.

Elliott Tire & Service - Kent
I brought my car in to get a flat fixed. We were one day away from getting a new car and did not want to buy new tires. I also had a limited amount of time because I needed to pick up my 4 year old from school. They got me in quickly, fixed the flat and checked the other tires FREE OF CHARGE! Everyone there was very friendly.I will be back! Thanks for your great customer service.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
