Love this place!Being a woman and new in town, I'm always leery of bringing my car to a new mechanic. However, a friend recommended this place and I needed service ASAP, as my timing belt had slipped off. Talked to them over the phone and they took the time to get details and explain a few thing that could be causing the issue. Brought the car in and left for work. They left a few messages updating on the status of the work (they had to order parts since it was a bit of an unusual problem, so it took a little longer, but not a problem). Picked up the car the next day, where they again took time to explain the issue and share their findings on the overall health of the vehicle. Pricing was very fair and actually a little less than anticipated. Also dealt with these folks when I needed a new battery. What impressed me the most is when I called on the phone. Spoke with Trevor who was very patient and helped me troubleshoot a few things to determine the root cause.Very excited to have these guys nearby as they seems very dedicated to good service and fair pricing. I highly recommend them to anyone!

ATF Tires & Service is a full-service automotive shop, not just a tire store. I have lived in Kaukauna for 10 years, and I've entrusted all of my vehicles to Aaron and his team. I appreciate that these guys do their best to always get it right, and in a timely fashion. To me the most important characteristics of a shop are honesty and integrity, and when I take my vehicle in ATF tells me everything they can find, and how important each fix is to get done. They don't try to tell me I need something that I really don't need. As far as price goes, they are right in the ballpark of what you'd expect to pay a qualified mechanic to do work. You can find work done cheaper, but not more professionally (they are also considerably less than going to your manufacturer). Sometimes I'll take their recommendation and do it myself or let a buddy help to save money, but usually it's worth it to me to get it done right. Also, you can probably buy cheaper tires at Walmart, but you're not going to get the same level of service, attention, and expertise. If you live in Kaukauna, this should be your first stop.

ATF always has the interest of the customer in mind. I can personally say that they found ways to properly and cost effectively take care of issues with my vehicles that chain shops tried to scare my family into fixing with only expensive options. They lay standard maintenance procedures in front of me with supporting information and I have never felt pressured to make a decision on the spot. I always recommend ATF to anyone asking for my suggestion on a great auto shop to use.

Hats off again to the guys at our local ATF tire. They squeezed me in today for some long overdue tires and an oil change and met or beat all the other estimates I had. The best part, they DIDNT try to upsell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need. NOTHING!!! That's pretty honest and pretty rare. Other than slipping on there sidewalk and falling on my ass and arm when I left, it was a great experience

close to home and people are friendly and competent. Usually can get in for service in a very short time. They check everything out on my vehicle and let me know if I need to have something replaced and/or repaired. I feel confident when I'm on the road that my vehicle has been taken care of properly

Scheduling an appointment is so easy with the online portal. The staff at atf is very polite, professional and won't nickel and dime you. I'm so excited for my restored headlights that I got done yesterday! Thanks for taking care of my 11 year old Hyundai!

ATF are friendly and honest. Have used them twice since we moved into the area. Their work was quick and prices fair. Best of all was they were able to give us a loaner vehicle while the work was been done.

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
