I contacted Service Master to clean up after a rental home I had was vandalized where they stole all of the copper from the home including smashing the water meter inside the home which resulted in water running into the home.
On 5/2 I delivered my only key to a Service Master representative. At the time I explained this was my only key. I was told they would make a copy of the key and bring me back my original key the following day. This was not done, nor was there any communication from Service Master.
Between 5/6 and 5/13 I made repeated calls to Service Master to get a key to the premise so that I could investigate the property as well as provide access to the insurance adjuster. I received no other communication from Service Master during this time frame.
On 5/12 I was informed the key had been inadvertently left in the home preventing Service Master further access to the premise and not letting them make a copy of the key as promised. I was told a locksmith would be on-site the following morning at 8:30 to unlock the home.
On 5/13 I arrived at the location at 9:00 AM and found no lock smith. I immediately called my business partner who brought a key down from Lawrence. Simultaneously I contacted Service Master and found out the lock smith had not yet attempted to come to the property. Both the locksmith and my partner arrived about the same time to provide access to the property. We entered the property we had been prevented from entering and found the dwelling still wet and mold prevalent throughout.
It appears they had locked themselves out of the property and instead of calling and letting me know they simply let the house sit and mold. Afterwards they said they could not do anything because there was no power. Again simply letting the house sit instead of setting a generator in place or calling to let me know of the concern so I could make arrangements to get power.
When I did call them on 5/21 asking if they were willing to finish the job and make the situation right I was told he would have to contact someone else and call me back. I received no phone call so I called them back again on 5/22 when he told me no one was available. I informed him that I would be publishing reviews on line describing their work he said ""OK., that is your prerogative"". I now have a home that was freshly remodeled with mold growing up several of the walls and doors, and carpet that is still damp over 3 weeks later.
Avoid Service Master! Poor capabilities and poor attempts to correct a situation.
