Champagne Jewelers
If you want a great selection of wedding rings and terrific people, Champaign Jewelers is a no brainer! My fiancé and I are wedding photographers and have seen a great variety of wedding rings but when it came my turn to propose, I wanted people that would treat me right and give me something unique that I know will last a lifetime. I’m please to say that the folks at Champaign Jewelers EXCEEDED all of my expectations! I met with Susan and gave her a rough idea of what I was looking for. We did a little snooping on the soon to be fiance’s Pinterest page (note to self guys-figure out your fiance’s wedding page on Pinterest if you want your lives to be a little easier ;) and were able to incorporate some of her inspiration and my input and within an hour, we had the right one picked out. I’ve never been so excited in my life and that was only enhanced by the staffs excitement! They are a smaller Jewelry store which I love because it feels more like a family. That’s something that you won’t find that the chain stores. The folks at Champaign put you first and I’ll be going to them for any of my future jewelry needs!

Vinca International
My boyfriend and I have been desperately searching everywhere for the perfect engagement ring. I have one stipulation, that it be a cocktail ring and look identical to one I found previously. When I walked in to Vinca today Simon greeted me and was as sweet as can be!! He wasn't pushy pr aggressive, and he encouraged me to simply "take your time and look at everything". It was so refreshing to not have someone breathing down my neck the entire time. While he knew I wasn't purchasing today he still brought me a glass of wine and treated me like gold!! What an incredible place- I cannot wait to own my ring made by this wonderfully kind man!!

Montanari Fine Art Jewelers
The name “Montanari” is synonymous with superb quality, innovative design, outstanding workmanship, and excellent customer service long after the sale. Our family’s more than thirty year experience with Montanari is second to none. We have purchased some wonderful one-of-a-kind pieces from Montanari, in a variety of price ranges. In addition, Montanari literally rebuilt my mother’s worn engagement ring, a feat other jewelers said could not be done, and redesigned two seldom-worn rings into pieces of jewelry I regularly wear. I highly recommend Montanari to meet all your jewelry needs!

Vinca International
My husband bought my 2nd wedding ring - a 10 year anniversary gift at Vinca's. Then later he had a pair of earrings made to match. My son and his now wife had her engagement and wedding rings custome designed and made by Simon. as well as my son's ring. Now it's my daughter's turn and her engagement ring came from Vinca's. Guess where she and her fiance are shopping for the wedding bands! Simon, Elizabeth (his wife) and their manager, Tu all provide excellent service. The store's inventory is exquisite, with something for nearly everyone.

Swirk Jewelry
I recently bought an engagement ring from Brian Swirk and cannot describe how impressed I was with not only the quality, but also the personal attention he paid to making sure my experience was a positive one. He is extremely easy to work with and even followed up with me to see how my proposal went. I had shopped around at several of the "chain" jewelry stores but am so glad I went with Swirk Jewelry. I highly recommend this to any guy who truly is looking for a custom engagement ring but one that also doesn't have to break the bank.

Clothes Mentor
I visited for the first time August 2014. The store was clean, organized and well-lit. The staff was incredibly helpful, pleasant and informative. They had an impressive selection of designer jeans and brands I regularly shop for. They had a large amount of clothing from Chico's which I personally do not prefer. They also had handbags and shoes in a variety of colors and styles. The prices are a bit high compared to other resale shops, but the location and experience were much better.

Swirk Jewelry
We love this store and love the fact it has been family owned for over 100 years. The people are very professional and friendly and the store itself is comfortable and intimate. Not like any other jewelry store in Kansas City. It has an old world feel yet it is upscale and modern. The jewelry is very unique and high class. These people know what they are doing. Highly recommend Swirk Jewelry!!

Swirk Jewelry
This is by far the best place to shop for jewelry in kansas city. family owned, brian and tracy swirk are always in the shop to help, the things they carry are remarkable (and a lot more reasonable than tiffany or tivol). they have craftsman on site to fix whatever needs fixin, and will design whatever you want. i've been shopping here for years, never a disappointment.

Montanari Fine Art Jewelers
The Montanari Team - Joe, Sally, and Randy will work with you to "create a design" and/or you will also find a store filled with "ready to purchase" beautiful and uniquely designed jewelry pieces. This "team" is knowledgable, artistic, and very adaptive to collaborating with you on "your thoughts and ideas" - a great balance of personal services and design offerings.

Tips & Advices
Provide the landscape designer with photos of designs you find attractive and might want to emulate. Gardening and architecture magazines can be useful in this regard. It's also important to let the landscape designer know how the  space should function. For example, a space that is being used as a play area for kids will have different objectives from a space being used to entertain friends. Finally, have a clear idea of how much you are looking to spend, since this will impact the build choices made by the landscape designer.
Interior designers can generally work on every type of room, but one should not assume that all of them can work on every type of space. More complicated projects--for example those in buildings with historic preservation strictures, or those that are going for sustainability certifications--will be suited to interior designers with specific expertise. Also, interior designers that have experience in a certain type of project may not want to take on projects that are outside their expertise. For example, an interior designer who has only worked on commercial projects may not want to do a small private home.
Every interior designer has their own style, but some designers are more versatile than others. Some really do specialize in functionality and code compliance, whereas others are more focused on aesthetics. Interior decorators are completely focused on visual impact, and therefore should be reviewed and selected based on how well their style is a match for the client’s tastes.
Full-service interior design starts with an assessment of a site and the client’s long-term needs for that space. It encompasses concept design, floor plans and lighting plans, providing project specifications to contractors, supervising  contractor negotiations and installations, applying for permits, and shopping for all the materials and pieces for the project. On top of this, there are the “decorator” deliverables, i.e. creating the aesthetic of the space, selecting wall colors/covers and furniture pieces, purchasing products and installing them.
An interior designer may come into a development project very early on, working with the developer and architect from the pre-construction phase. They may be the one to design floor plans, decide where to place interior walls, and supervise contractors that are installing elements of the build. They often work on commercial projects, although many of them work on residential projects. Interior designers can “switch hats” and do interior decoration, which means they are only focused on the aesthetic elements and visual components of a residence.
