Beard's Garage
Nice and cool. I was told by another mechanic I needed a compressor etc for a cost of about $900.00 for my 5 year old car. I couldn't believe it because my car is so dependable. I ask the service adviser at the Chevrolet dealer and he said we don't see these cars often because they are built well and he said if your A/C leaks freon he said its most likely the evaporator. I decided to go the this place with a coupon for a free A/C checkup with my car that was blowing hot air. The owner had a great sense of humor and jumped on checking my car. I noticed he started putting freon in and then he told me $40.00. I told him the coupon says free!! He said the check up is free but the freon is $40.00. Well he told me he fixed it and I waited 1 month before adding this review. My A/C is still cold. I am so happy. So yes he fixed it and charged me without telling me but I was very happy with the outcome and that was the best $40.00 spent. So no I would never complaints. I am cool so far. Yipee!! I say thank you !!

Master Auto Care
Best mechanic in the area. I bring all my vehicles there. I highly recommend them. I've given them opportunities to rip me off (like telling them to do whatever needs to be done) and I end up leaving with only an oil change and tire rotation and their seal of approval for the vehicle being in good shape with no further work needed. These guys are fast, honest and as cheap as you'll find in the area. They do good work for a fair price and that is all that I can ever ask for. A good local shop!

Mo's Auto Care
I took my 1999 black mustang here because it was having problems overheating and I am glad I did. I was quoted close to $800 at another local mechanic and Mo fixed it and did maintenance work for less that half of that price. I'm very happy with the job he did and feel as though he is very honest. He did not try to rip me off like other places. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a good honest mechanic. IIt's been a month and I haven't had problems since he fixed it.

Atlantic Transmission & Auto Repair
I went to several auto places in Jupiter, one of them I was told was The Best. Well, none of them could fix my car. I was desperate when my car started acting up again and literally coasted into Atlantic Transmission. They diagnosed my problem – and they fixed it. If not for them I would be making car payments. I will not go to anyone else!

They fixed my brakes and I called so many people. They had the best prices too. Thanks for the free AC check and reseting my check engine light.

All County Automotive Repair
Tony and his crew helped my son and his friends when the car broke down between Atlanta and Miami. He took the car right in from the tow truck around 5PM and got them on the road within an hour. He even followed up with a call in the morning to make sure the boys made it to their destination!

Mike's has helped me out several times with 3 different vehicles. Honest + fast, another mechanic wanted to charge me over $1000 for a repair and Mike's team found the REAL problem and it cost me $50. I'll always go back here!

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
