I have been seeing Dr. B for almost 20 years. I have 5 children, the last 4 were with Dr. B. Dr. B has ALWAYS been someone who's care and opinions I have valued and trusted over these many years. My oldest daughter now sees him, and I always recommend him to anyone I know that needs an OB/GYN. In all the years that I've been seeing him, he has only had to cancel one appointment . . . and that was because he was delivering a baby. I LOVE his staff. They are both professional and friendly and always show a genuine regard for the patients. I love his staff as much as I love the doc. The best thing about Dr. B is that his patients are not just an assembly line to him. Unlike so many doctors who simply perform their duties though efficiently but without sensitivity . . . Dr. B takes the time to fully explain things, has a sense of humor, and is friendly. Dr. B has been with me during the most wonderful moments of my life . . . and during some much harder moments, and in all scenarious has been compationate, patient and caring. I read some of the other reviews, and I can say that Dr. B never once forced a C-section on me, nor did he recommend one when it wasn't really needed. My first three children were born naturally, and he recommended a C-section with my last because it was the safest outcome for my baby. And THAT'S what was important to me. I also read reviews about husbands or kids not being allowed. In the 20 years that I have been seeing Dr. B I can tell anyone that that is absolutely untrue. My husband was never told that he couldn't be in the examining room or ultrasound room with me. And, if I had to bring my kids, no one on staff ever said a word to me (of course, I would never have brought a child in with me during a pap smear). I'm in there every three months for my birth control shot and I see plenty of kids and husbands in there all the time. In addition, while I have insurance, I do know that Dr. B still takes patients with Medicaid, when so few doctors do. The fact that he is able to provide quality care to patients on Medicaid only speaks to the fact that he wants to ensure that all women can get proper care . . . and that all women can have healthy babies. Love Dr. B!!!

Dr. B is not only the best OB/GYN, but hands down THE best doctor I've ever been treated by – and I’ve been going to this office for over 15 years! Dr. B is very knowledgeable and knows his stuff. He is extremely personable & caring. One of the things I like best is that he spends time with me (and my husband when we were going together for our OB visits). I have NEVER felt like "just another patient". He has delivered all three of my children – I was going into the office monthly/weekly for several years and now I see him for my annual exams. I absolutely love his office staff too! Everyone is so nice and easy to communicate with regarding anything! They are by far the nicest individuals I have come in contact with in a medical facility in a long time. I can call the office with questions and they make sure they reach back out to you before the close of the business that day. They are a great team! And the office itself is so beautiful and comfortable. Cannot say how blessed I feel to have found Dr. Battistini and staff! HIGHLY recommend!

I couldn't be happier with my doctor. He is attentive to all my concerns. Is caring and understanding. I was very nervous with my first pregnancy and delivery. He was awesome. He helped make it a great experience.

Tips & Advices
OB/GYNs learn to treat infertility as part of their standard education. OBGYNs who further their training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility are known as fertility specialists.
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is a treatment where medication is used to replace hormones a woman's body does not create naturally. Women are prescribed either estrogen alone or a mix of estrogen and progesterone. The former is given to women who've had hysterectomies, while the latter is for postmenopausal women. HRT used to be a common treatment, but doctors have prescribed it less often in recent years, as concerns of negative side effects increased.
Endometriosis is a chronic condition where uterine tissue (endometrium) grows in areas outside the uterus. This can cause extreme pain, especially around menstruation and during sex. Other symptoms include infertility, chronic fatigue, and painful urination or bowel movements during menstruation. In addition, many women with endometriosis also have allergies, frequent yeast infections, or sensitivity to certain chemicals.
Morning sickness is a common pregnancy symptom that includes nausea and occasional vomiting. Despite its name, morning sickness can occur at any time of day. The exact reason for this condition isn't clear, although most believe it results from hormone changes affecting muscle contraction and relaxation in the stomach and intestines. Another theory suggests morning sickness is caused by an abundance of intestinal bacteria in pregnant woman.
OBGYNs can prescribe or perform the following types of birth control:
  • Contraceptive pills
  • Birth control shots
  • Implants
  • Diaphragms
  • Vaginal rings
  • Cervical caps
  • Intrauterine devices
  • Tubal ligation
  • Hysterectomies
Women do not need to see an OBGYN to obtain over-the-counter forms of birth control such as male condoms, female condoms, or sponges.
