I chose Dr. Gassen mainly because of his beautiful facility, and the fact that he is close to my work. The staff is wonderful. Dr. Gassen's manner with children is amazing, he truly cares and does his best to make them as comfortable as possible. He came in on Saturday morning to help my son who was having horrible toothaches, removed two baby teeth, and didn't even charge us any type of premium for this. I couldn't be happier with him.

I've been a patient of Dr. Richter's for many years. I started going to him after he was highly recommended to me. I've always been greatly pleased with the attention and treatment I've received. I've had a couple of emergencies when they immediately made time for me. I've had a lifelong fear of dentists which Dr. Richter and his staff have put to rest. I can say, without hesitation, that Dr. Richter is wonderful.

I had gum graft surgery. This was one of the most painful procedures I've ever been through, and I feel like it was for nothing. It's been almost a year, and the gums look worse than they did before the procedure, and the roof of my mouth still hurts. I think he needs to modernize his pain control and surgical technique.

Dr. May used a laser and some type of antibiotic soak to sterilize and keep bacteria from returning to my tooth. Most dentists leave bacteria on doing root canal with some type of laser, but laser are suppose to remove 99%. All I know is my root canal is working and no pain

I had a previous crown fall off (had it done somewhere else) and they were able to fit me in quickly. Staff and Dr were very friendly and courteous. I felt absolutely ZERO pain when they did the temporary crown. I may have found my new dentist!

Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
