Total Spraying LLC
As a general rule, these guys do good work. But their service days are erratic and the customer service is blunt and unfriendly. Just recently we had an instance where they skipped our maintenance for a week. I contacted the office about the issue and was basically told that I was lying. My wife called the following week only to be told that "some houses were missed due to a glitch in the system last week."The nexr service day they promised some "additional services" to make up for the missed service. Not only was no additional service provided, the cut and overall job was the worst they have ever done. Grass clippings were all over the deck in the back yard, the "special" trim of the bushes in the front was not done, and they must have brought the dullest blade in the shop to cut the grass. They really showed us. I had read in reviews that customer service was an issue with this group. So be forewarned. There is truth in that statement. But the price is good, as is the work some days -- when they show up as scheduled and don't have a "glitch in the system." I've made the decision to look elsewhere. One too many disappointments for me.

Southern Green
We started to try this company but decided to cancel without giving them a chance because of the complaints of bed customer care and rude salesmen. When we cancelled, however, this company met us with kindness and understanding without any of the rudeness reported on other forums. We were actually very impressed with everyone we met with or spoke with from this local company, from the salesman Nick to the Managers David and Richard. We are starting to regret not giving them a chance and may decide to in the future. They have been here for over fifteen years so it is expected that they should have some 'bumps' in the road and it appears to us that they have corrected any problems. It is unfortunate that what is expressed on the net sticks around along time after corrective measures have been taken.

Grass Roots Lawn Care
This is to the 2 reviews I received on this website, I've had 100's of satisfied customers and the first review is from a lady that was still in my 10 years in business the worst client I've ever had to work for. This lady wanted work done but refused to allow us use to her electric outlet. Because every landscape company carries generators all over town. We completed all the work that was asked. Why would you pay in full if you saw the job and wasn't pleased??? On a second attempt to make this person happy she proceeds to have this goal in life to ruin our name. I am very blessed to have many customers that don't act like this.

Matts Lawn Service
On time, done right! That's what is on Matt's card and it's true. I called Matt's Lawn service when I was in a pinch and he came through that day with quality, professional work. Matt and his crew did such a nice job, I had him back the following week to clean up overgrown vines and bushes. Once again, another fantastic job with reasonable rates. So glad I found Matt's Lawn Service. You will not be disappointed.

I had one treatment from MaxLawn and within days my weeds turned yellow and died. Now that it is a few weeks later my healthy grass is nice and green, thick, and filling in where the weeds used to be. My lawn looks better with one spray from Maxlawn then it ever did in my TWO years of Scotts lawn service! I am so thankful I was referred to you guys and you now have a customer for life!!!! Thanks again!!!!

I have no complaints, yard looks good. Not the yard of the month, but i'm only interested in not doing the work myself. They did kill a huge fire ant mound for free though, which was great because i was charged by my landscaper for those previously.

Tips & Advices
Irrigation system advantages:
  • Lowers water bill and maintenance time with scheduled watering
  • Evenly distributes water
Irrigation system disadvantages:
  • Professionally installed systems cost between $3,000-$4,000 for a quarter-acre lot.
  • Some do-it-yourself systems cost up to $1,500 but are difficult to install.
  • You may need to call a professional electrician and plumber, adding $300-$600 to your project.
Some plants can stand up to the cold weather, like kale or pansies. These can be planted in the autumn or early winter. Other plants need to wait until the soil is warm and ready. Plant perennial flowers in mid-autumn or mid-spring. If you're planting from seed or sprout, you can generally find information about planting conditions on the package.
Why get artificial grass?
  • Cuts down on lawn maintenance
  • It's environmentally friendly since there‚Äôs no need to water.
  • Artificial grasses may be more attractive than real grass in drought-stricken areas.
Why stick to the real deal?
  • Artificial grass has a high upfront cost - $15 to $20 per square foot.
  • It can be difficult to install.
  • Inexpensive options might look unnatural.
  • It gets hot in the sun.
First, determine which pests you're dealing with. Mounds or tunnels indicate moles or voles. Apply castor oil to your lawn; they'll find another digging spot. Determine which bugs you have by pouring a bucket of soapy water onto the lawn. The bugs will surface so you can identify them. Milky spore and nematodes keep grubs and other bugs at bay. Insecticidal soap also works. The best way to prevent pests is with good yard maintenance. Certain bugs prefer overwatered lawns or yards with thatches. Regular mowing, watering, and dethatching discourage pests from moving in.
Fertilizer isn't always necessary, but it can keep your lawn looking lush and healthy. Use fertilizer with slow release nitrogen so it doesn't encourage weeds to grow. Keep in mind that overfertilizing can spur weed growth. However, under-fertilizing can result in weak grass, which gives weeds more space to take root.
