When we moved to Jacksonville from NYC, nothing was what we expected. The people here seemed so phony and we felt really out of place and unhappy with every office we checked out. We were so glad to find Dr. G and feel comfortable with a vet open late and close by. He is an absolute doll and a true professional. Our animals are our family, and it was a blessing to find a place to take them to for quality care.Yes, they're expensive and yes, there's always going to be some drops or cream or medication that your animal "needs" but Dr. G truly does care about the animals he treats. He is good at what he does, and we are certain he saved our cats life.Unfortunately the manager Kim is a NIGHTMARE of a person and the least professional woman you could ever imagine. She hung up on me, left me on hold, and then gave me dirty looks when I complained about her to Dr. G. She has such a rude nasty attitude, and doesn't even know how to manage her own behavior, much less a vet office. They also do not appropriately manage their grooming or time schedule. My dog was seen by Dr. G at 9am and was supposed to go to straight to grooming after the visit just for a bath.FOUR HOURS LATER and not one person had returned my calls to check on my dog. I finally got Kim on the phone, and she told me my dog hadn't even been bathed yet. They had jammed my giant Newfoundland in a cage, and left him there for 4 HOURS! Naturally I was infuriated and was in tears on the phone with Kim asking how they could do that to him without telling us.She just kept saying "I don't know, he'd be in a cage to dry anyway" which didn't even make sense because he hadn't even been bathed yet! Eventually after me arguing and crying on the phone with her, she said "Ma'am you need to calm down, you're being ridiculous" and she HUNG UP ON ME!!! I called back and she picked up and hung up. I called back again and she picked up, didn't speak, and just left me on hold. I called back again, and another tech answered the phone and actual took care of me.We LOVE Dr. G, but this incident definitely made us question whether or not our animals are actually being taken care of there. If that's how they treat a crying concerned customer, how do they treat a defenseless animal when we're not looking? How do you leave an animal in a cage for hours without ok'ing that with the owners, or even letting us know that's happening? We can't feel certain that our animals are safe at this vet office anymore.Hopefully Dr. G will hire more professional staff who know how to behave and treat people with respect, and a groomer who knows how to stay on schedule, so that we can return to this office and trust that our pets are safe and in good hands. It's a shame that such a good doctor would be flanked with such horrible management. If you bring your pet to this vet, don't leave them there unless it's an absolute emergency, don't EVER believe a thing Kim tells you, and be prepared to spend a TON of money to keep your pet healthy.
Our company emerged from a dream. We love dogs and we thought that we could provide an exciting and fun environment for the family and the dog when a doggie bath is due. The mess is not an issue anymore and everything needed for the wash is provided: (Shampoo, conditioner, a waterproof apron, towels, combs and brushes). We know by experience how a hassle it is to wash your dog in the house, running behind a soapy, wet dog, hurting your back, cleaning the fur afterwards. All of that creates some kind of stress not only for the family; it does also for the dog. We offer the opportunity to do it all in one place from washing, drying and grooming and forget the worries about cleaning afterwards. We offer a self-service and a full service pet wash with the best selection of shampoos and conditioners for your dog. No more backaches, dirty bathrooms, dog shaking water all over the bathroom, clogged drains and more. You wash your dog we clean up the mess. Or even better, we wash your dog for you. Our pet Groomers are dog lovers and have a magic touch to make your dog look magnificent. When a dog is well groomed, he/she feels good and it promotes good health and hygiene. We also provide treadmills for your dog. Is the water not cooperating or you don’t really feel like going out for exercise? Don’t worry. You can enjoy reading or watching TV in a friendly temperature controlled environment while your dogs exert all that pent-up energy from being in the house all day. Our wash stations are cleaned and disinfected after every use so you don't have to bathe your doggie in the wet hair of a previous pooch and you don't have to worry about harmful germs that can cause Parvo and other illnesses. As dog people, we also realize that part of the fun of coming to a place like Guard Dog Pet Wash® is not only the convenience, but it is also being with other people and their pets. Please join us in our pet club and you’ll be part of the many fun activities and promotions that we offer to make your dog as happy as possible. Please visit our website at www.guarddogpetwash.com and you’ll see the variety of packages and prices that we offer for everyone’s needs, take a virtual tour, or even better login to our live webcam and check us out. I have actually worked at this place, but I no longer live in Jacksonville or work there anymore. I have no obligation to make this review except that I Googled it to get the address and I noticed there were no reviews for it. I thought, "what a shame, it's such a nice place to board dogs!". So here's my professional (and personal) opinion/review. The owners of McKendree Kennels are two of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet (husband & wife team). They are the salt of the earth, honest and accommodating to pet owners. Their kennel has huge safe and clean indoor individual kennel runs inside a heated /cooled building. Each kennel run also has it's own individual outside run that is enclosed with chain link fencing, so dogs cannot come into contact with each other (which keeps them safe). The dogs can see each other and talk to each other, but there's no actual physical contact between them, unless they are boarded in the same kennel by the dog's owner. The kennels are well-cleaned daily every morning and spot cleaned throughout the day. The dogs are checked on constantly and are fed/watered properly. Any special requests that the dog owner has (such as giving the dog special food, treats, medications, etc) are respected and accommodated by the owners. Pet owners are always treated like old friends... Marsha Mann, the lady that runs the place, is a friendly cheerful soul who knows no stranger, and you will feel welcome the moment you walk in the door and meet her. Her husband is a great guy, but he mostly is a "work behind the scenes" person. So, as a pet business, this place meets my own personal high criteria:It is cleanIt is roomyIt is safeIt is cool in Summer and warm in WinterIt is professional but very friendlyAnimal care in general is top notchNo idiots work there... only the owners.
We love Dog Days & Cat Naps! They were very professional from the start. When I first contacted them, they provided me with thorough information about the service and how it all works. They were upfront about rates and payment options, and everything is listed on their website. They sent a great pet sitter to meet with us and our pets. She was fantastic and our pets took to her right away. She asked questions about their feeding and routine, and I could tell she really loved animals. After our meeting, Dog Days followed up with me to make sure our sitter was a good fit for us. I was able to add all of my pet sitting instructions for my pet sitter in my online account. I could also check my schedule online which was reassuring. When the pet sitting started, I received a text from my pet sitter with a few pictures of my pets. I felt completely comfortable at this point so I could actually enjoy my vacation! When we returned home, my pets were happy and my house was clean. The litter boxes were scooped and the sitter had swept up around them (my cats track a lot of litter around their boxes!). The food bowls were clean and everyone had fresh water. They left me a cute report card telling me how everyone did on each visit, which was great to hear. The company followed up after we returned home to make sure I was satisfied with the service. I couldn't have asked for a better service for my pets. Thank you so much!
I moved to Jacksonville less than a year ago and was in need of a vet. My pup is my baby and I am very protective of her. With the number of vets that are around jacksonville and not knowing anyone to give recommendations, I was very overwhelmed with my choices. Someone on FB mentioned Baymeadows animal hospital and I decided to give them a try and I am very happy with them. i came in around 12 pm, not too long before the staff would most likely be heading out to lunch. I had a million and one questions about my pup health care and still getting used this area.. The vet and her staff sat with me for a long time making sure that my pup did not have any vaccine reactions, answering every single question, and reassuring me on things that I've always felt uneasy about. The best part was they never made me feel bad about some of the decisions I've made in regards to my pet's care (things which other vets have reprimanded and scolded me for). Thee next day I received a follow-up call from them. It showed me how much she cared for my pup. There is usually little wait, but for how wonderful the staff is, I think it's well worth it. I like the fact there are open 7 days week. I would definitely recommend them to folks!
We haven't been to a dog salon for many years and were nervous at first. But after learning how experienced they are at the Spotted Dog we decided to try it. It was Bootsie's, our 11 year old's, first time too. They only do a limited number of dogs per day, and they take very good care. All the tables where they trim, etc the dogs are behind the counter in the front room for all to see. My wife thought we would have to stay the whole time, but after trimming her nails, cleaning her ears and starting to brush her, Bootsie was so relax - and the staff was so calm and patient we knew she was in good hands. A couple of hours later they called us to pick her up. Some of the other customers even commented how nice our dog was as they saw her getting trimmed up, and how beautiful she looked. My wife and I couldn't agree more, and we already scheduled our next appt. We are very long time dog owners and you know you get that sense when someone loves dogs - they do. I highly recommend his dog/pet spa.
Every person I have ever interacted with at FCNMHP has been wonderful! They are all so helpful, knowledgeable, and caring. From the front office staff to the call center to the vet techs to the vets, I have not had a bad experience dealing with anyone associated with this organization. My family took in a stray cat who was pregnant and then had a second litter before we could get her fixed, so I've spent quite a bit of time at their office getting all eight of these animals taken care of. We've never had any complications from the surgeries and all the staff seems happy to answer all our questions and also listen when we tell them about our pets. Their excellent service makes me feel comfortable trusting my pets with them because I know they will take good care of them, they all clearly love animals just like we do. I'm posting this review on every site I can because FCNMHP serves as a shining example of what customer service should be.
When my Boo Boo began to experience symptoms that were very abnormal for him especially being a jack Russell, I became concerned. No barking, playing, eating or sleeping I knew something was wrong FCNHP came highly recommended from a friend. From the moment I signed in, I knew I came to the right place. Everyone wanted to help. My dog was dyingand I didn't know why. Dr. Sorsthia and nurse Carla were awesomethey took care of him like he was their own. The best care and support I've ever experienced. It was a miracle! From the brink of death to his old self again in 3 days. And they work with you financially. These guys healed my family and my doggy, Boo Boo. I can't thank you enough❤looks like we've found a new family of care giversthank you so very much! From the bottom of my heart.
I joined YP just to rate this place. Ive been going to pet stores for 30+ years and never had the experience I had with CJs. They have a great selection of healthy looking reptiles. I bought a baby iguana for my son last week from CJs. Our guy didnt seem to be eating so I called CJs. They immediately offered to take a look at him. CJ and Lakesha are extremely knowledgable and provided me some different greens to take home. He started eating almost immediately. The most amazing thing is just before bed time I received a call from Lakesha asking how our little guy was doing. I have never in my life had a pet store call me to check and see how a new pet was doing. Amazing customer service and Ill be a customer for life!!!!
I found these groomers after being disappointed with another groomer at DuPont groomers... I love this salon and so do my dogs! Groomers are very polite and establishment is very clean, and professional and the job that they do on my dog's is above and beyond what I ever expected! Very pleasant atmosphere and my dogs are very excited when I asked them if they would like to go to the groomers LOL. They cannot wait to have their grooming done now and I would recommend this business to anyone reading this post! I give All pets Grooming salon a five-star plus rating! P.s. The Price is Right also for the services they provide and actually I find the price to be lower then other groomers in the area and the job is much better also!
