Spotted Dog The
We haven't been to a dog salon for many years and were nervous at first. But after learning how experienced they are at the Spotted Dog we decided to try it. It was Bootsie's, our 11 year old's, first time too. They only do a limited number of dogs per day, and they take very good care. All the tables where they trim, etc the dogs are behind the counter in the front room for all to see. My wife thought we would have to stay the whole time, but after trimming her nails, cleaning her ears and starting to brush her, Bootsie was so relax - and the staff was so calm and patient we knew she was in good hands. A couple of hours later they called us to pick her up. Some of the other customers even commented how nice our dog was as they saw her getting trimmed up, and how beautiful she looked. My wife and I couldn't agree more, and we already scheduled our next appt. We are very long time dog owners and you know you get that sense when someone loves dogs - they do. I highly recommend his dog/pet spa.

All Pet Grooming Salon
I found these groomers after being disappointed with another groomer at DuPont groomers... I love this salon and so do my dogs! Groomers are very polite and establishment is very clean, and professional and the job that they do on my dog's is above and beyond what I ever expected! Very pleasant atmosphere and my dogs are very excited when I asked them if they would like to go to the groomers LOL. They cannot wait to have their grooming done now and I would recommend this business to anyone reading this post! I give All pets Grooming salon a five-star plus rating! P.s. The Price is Right also for the services they provide and actually I find the price to be lower then other groomers in the area and the job is much better also!

Pet Fancy
This facility is under new ownership and has been renamed Dog Life. I had had some issues with the previous management but I was anxious to give these folks a try since they are so convenient to my home. I could not have been more pleased!!! Their prices are competitive and the results were wonderful. One of my complaints with grooming facilities is how long your pet is kept in a kennel...I guess..just waiting for service. Here that's just not the case.. Service is as prompt as it could possibly be. I took two of our dogs there in the last two days. They both came home looking beautiful and happy. Thank you, Rob and Sara. I'll see you again next week. We have a lot of dogs!!!

Love On A Leash
My husband has taken our three dogs to Love On a Leash 3 times and every time they have been groomed impeccably. They were trimmed, clipped and bathed... She also treated them for fleas as they are a major problem here in Florida... Always had an excellent rapport with the owner, Marla, and will continue bringing our dogs to her for all their grooming needs. I prefer her and her methods as my dogs are skittish and she has a calming effect on them. Very good groomer... I can't say enough... There are other groomers in the area and we have utilized their services as we have been here since 2005, but since this groomer has opened her doors I will always use her services!!!

The Puppy Palace
Tje puppy palace is dedicated to treating your pet with the utmost care and respect. I have been to plenty of groomers and this one is truely the best. As soon as i walked in its was one on one with me and my baby. The groomer listened very intently on my directions and even told me to tell her if i didnt like my experience or the grooming then she would fix the problem or it was free. They were absolutely amazing. First try and the cut was perfect. Now my babies run me over to get in there. If u want some one to take good care of your pet. This is the place to go!

Canine Creations, Inc.
I would tell anyone that has a dog or cat with lots of fur/ hair to get their pets groomed here. I found out about Canine Creations from a lovey couple. These loyal snowbirds that have their poodle per-scheduled every other week while they live in Jax so 6 months of grooming already set up. I know why now she has done the best hair cut on my Curly than I've ever seen and he took no time to warm up to the staff. Get on the list and make appointments in advance you wont regret it.

Libbys Pet Grooming
Libby gives great pet grooming services with such care. I have 3 Chihuahuas whom most people cannot get near but all 3 love Libby. She even gives them a kiss on their face. No one else other than me (and Libby) can do that!! My dogs are too hyper for me to do their nails but she is able to cut them and file them for me. I am on a fixed income and cannot visit as much as I would like, but am grateful for the services that I do get. Thank you so much Libby !! Smile & GOD bless

Barking Lot
It saddens me to hear and see the devastating damage to Barking Lot this morning. I'm just so relieved that Beverly wasn't working at the time as she normally would have been, as the damage was right where she would have been grooming..know that you are in my Doug's and Ziva's prayers and we hope you are up and running again soon...I will be calling to see when it's ok to start cleanup and will be there....It's all going to be okay, so try not to worry to much ok?Donna Stevens

Tina is now Dupont Grooming. She has been the groomer for my poodles for 7 years. I rescued my female and she was a MESS! But Tina used some special products and patience, now Peaches has been in grooming shows! My dogs adore her and she always makes them look even more beautiful. Betty, the owner, is a terrific person and I reccomend this business to anyone who loves them dogs and wants to keep them beautiful and healthy!!!!!

My pets and I had the best experience with Ms Bonnie. She came out in short notice to take care of my pets because they was in major need of grooming. She was professional, and showed my babies so much attention, they absolutely loved her.Ive had them groomed a bunch and I have to say this has been the best groomed they've had.She was affordable which made it even better.I will definitely be recommending her to everyone I know!!
Tips & Advices
Some pet groomers have viewing areas where owners can sit and watch their pets being treated. Most prevent owners from being in the same room as the pet, however, as the owner's presence might cause the pet to become too excited.
Pets that cannot interact with strangers do not make good professional grooming candidates. Sometimes medication can help, but some groomers don't take animals that have been sedated. If a pet becomes too unruly, a groomer may end the session entirely.
It's best to fully vaccinate pets before bringing them to their first grooming appointment. Dogs should receive the DA2PPC vaccine, which stands for canine distemper, canine andenovirus type 2, canine parvovirus, and parainfluenza. It's also a good idea to vaccinate dogs against Bordedatella (aka “kennel cough”). In fact, New York City requires dogs receive both DAPP and Bordetella shots. Cats, meanwhile, should get the FVRCP vaccine: feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus infection, and panleukopenia. In addition, all pets should be up to date on their rabies shots. Owners should wait at least 24 hours after getting their pet vaccinated before bringing it to the groomers.
Technically, there is no such thing as a pet that is too old for a professional groomer. In fact, older pets with joint or mobility issues often can't groom themselves and need someone else to clean them. However, pets that are blind, deaf, or have serious medical issues might not do well at a groomer, especially if the person is inexperienced. Owners should feel free to ask potential groomers about their understanding of elderly pet issues. Often, older pets will exhibit puppy-like behavior and squirm or yelp during grooming. Alternatively, they might not be able to stand for long periods of time. As such, grooming an older pet usually takes more time than grooming a young one.
Puppies and kittens should be at least 10 weeks old before their first professional grooming session. They should be used to being gently handled by strangers and comfortable being separated from their owners for a few hours at a time.
