A-1 Action Refrigeration & Appliance Service & Repair
Do NOT Use this company!!!! This guy is a scammer, he came in to my home, allegedly diagnosed the problem with my wine fridge and my washer and allegedly ordered parts. He took a check for the parts (hmmm, his credit card machine was down, imagine that) and he has never returned to install the parts. This con game has gone on for over a month now. I guess I will see him in small claims court.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY. They are a sorry excuse for a business and have ZERO customer service. I don't know how they can live in this world as human beings much less keep their business open. If your home warranty assigns them to a repair, request another company. They were sent to us from American Home Shield to fix our fridge. The initial visit was fine. Problem diagnosed and part ordered. We were told by technician it would only take a few days. 2 weeks later, we finally got a second appointment after I called to get the status on the part. I was not given an appointment time frame- only a date and that the tech would call us to give us approximate time. The technician called at 7:40am and left a message to return his call. I was dropping kids at school and missed it. As soon as I saw the call- 15 min later, I immediately called him back. Left a message. I Continued to call every hour all day long. Left several other messages. When I I finally called the office, they were extremely rude and said it was my responsibility to answer my phone and nothing they could do. Said if you don't answer the call the first time, they immediately cancel the appointment. I was rescheduled an entire week later. I called later in the day to speak to an office manager, who apparently doesn't exist, and when I asked for an explanation, I was yelled at and eventually hung up on. Our appointment was yesterday and when I hadn't received the call early morning i called the office to confirm the time. I was told I was no longer a customer there and to contact my home warranty company. They returned the parts that were ordered. The home warranty company called them to confirm, and their story was that I was rude to them on the phone, yelled, cursed, and insulted a technician based on his race. They also said I missed 4 appointments. ALL LIES. Needless to say a second company was dispatched and is coming later this week. I haven't had a working refrigerator for 3 weeks

HORRIBLE!!!. Our home warranty company sent them to repair a fridge and microwave. In summary, this company is incompetent when it comes to repairs and indescribably rude with their customer service. First, I had to tell them where to locate a part in my microwave. As the 2 technicians repaired that appliance, they managed to turn on 3 of the oven's burners and melt my plastic shelf liner and towel to the top of the oven. Then, as they repaired my fridge, they deeply scratched and chipped my wood floors. I immediately called AHS (the home warranty company that recommended them) and All Brand Appliances to report the damage. The owner, Karl, came to my home and admitted that the floors were damaged and needed repairing. He said I would hear back from them the following week in regards to repairing our floors and looking at the glass top oven scratches. After not hearing back from him for a month after repeated attempts of me to reach him, he finally returned my call after I stated I was going to personally come into the office. He immediately became rude and defensive and told me and my husband that we were lying about the damage. I have never been treated this poorly by a company and accused of lying about the damage done on my property. I still have the burnt towel as proof of their incompetence. All I wanted was for them to repair the damage that they caused. After this experience, I researched this company and found that they are NOT BBB accredited and have an overwhelming amount of negative reviews supporting my same experience.

I have use Mr. Sloan for my home needs and for my rental needs. He does an excellent job every time every time I have called. He returns my calls timely and shows up on time. Horrible! I have American Home Shield, and they stuck me with this company. They are rude and unprofessional. They sent a "technician" out with no tool or equipment. If they can't fix anything this way. He had no way to give me a receipt for the warranty charge. Although this should have been an easy fix (defrost control) they are clearly tired of dealing with me or probably any customer, because now they are telling me it might not be fixed before thanksgiving. They are also now admitting they sent out a trainee and calling the initial appoint diagnostic. Ridiculous.I have had the same part replaced on other refrigerators. It's a one hour job max and they should have the parts on them or at least me able to get them quicker than a week. So 1 week before thanksgiving I've lost all my thanksgiving food, I have no fridge and this company can't even be sympathetic about that.
Tips & Advices
Water leakage is usually caused by a blockage of the defrost drain by food or debris. The ensuing overflow can leak inside the refrigerator or outside. This problem is often an easy DIY fix--just clean the debris away. If you cannot locate it, it could be a clog of the system and might require a technician.
The most common cause of a refrigerator running is a faulty seal, usually on the door, allowing a constant flow of warm, humid air into the unit. To combat the warm air, the refrigerator’s cooling system kicks in and might stay on. This can cause strain on the cooling unit, not to mention higher utility bills.
The most common reason an ice maker stops making ice is a faulty water supply line. The most likely culprits are the supply line being frozen, broken, disconnected, or the filter being clogged, which prevents water from passing through.
The most common refrigerator maintenance issue is the most obvious: The refrigerator isn’t cold enough. Next is a faulty ice maker, the refrigerator not functioning at all, the unit is making strange noises, and the dispenser units are not dispensing water and/or ice.
Frost buildup in the freezer is a result of warm, humid air entering the freezer and then freezing. It could be as simple as frequent opening and closing of the door, or a faulty door seal allowing air to flow in. If those are not the issues, the automatic defrost system might be malfunctioning and require servicing.
