Here is my story: Im telling you this so you can save time and just make one call! I needed a new roof due to some storm damage. I really wasn't sure who to call or who to trust to do the job and do it right; and of course the most important thing paying out the wazoooo to get it done. So I started online with a roofer search and began the process of finding a roofer. My husband even joined the search so he grabbed a phone book. I found this website and read the reviews, ALL of them and thought "Wow!" ..pretty impressive, so I called to find out for myself if these reviews were True?.... ABSOLUTELY!Michael came out with clip board in hand, colors and different styles of shingles, way better professionalism than I had seen in "other" estimates. He knew his stuff, his paperwork was in order, and he's a really nice guy on top of all of that! BUT HOLD ON... His prices were Very affordable and reasonable. This guy is the REAL deal! Not to mention that he got the job done all in one day and not a single nail was left on the ground when he finished. Super clean job! If I could give 10 stars I would but 5 is all I have. Watkins Construction is the only call you need to make! High-Five!

These people treat you like family. They made a potentially complex situation easy. since I live more than 250 miles from the site, all of the coordination had to be accomplished by E-mail and telephone; But that wasn't a problem. Even with temporary repairs their response was timely, efficient and effective. My on site representative had nothing but praise for the work crew and supervisors that accomplished the job and the resultant outcome. But most impressive was the price; it was fair, reasonable and below what I expected. You can check around all you wish, but these are the people you want to do your roof job. Thanks Michael and gang. Great job!

This is the most professional company we have ever hired! They answered all of our questions without hesitation, answered all of our calls and when they said they would be at our home at a certain time, they were there at that exact time. They put our roof on in one day and when they left, it was like they had never been there. They cleaned up everything. I have never seen anything like it! Those guys knew their jobs and performed them like clock work! Thanks Jeff and Michael for a job well done! Highly recommend these guys!!! Melinda W.

My roof repair was organized by Watkins under the State Farm Premier Service Program so after my claim was approved, all I had to do was choose materials and pay the deductible. The Watkins crew was polite, clean and efficient. Minor issues were resolved promptly and efficiently by Michael. I highly recommend Watkins Construction for any roofing needs, especially for those customers with State Farm- in addition, my roof now has a 5 year warranty!

My experience with Watkins was Fast, Reliable, Effective and Efficient. Watkins was able to stop by the day I called and repair a persistent leak that had been happening for a while. I had tried several other repair services to no avail. With a pending rain storm coming the next day I received a follow-up message after the rain began to make sure ther were n problems. Thank you for your prompt and effective service.

Concrete Overlay Designs
We contacted Mauro and he was at our home within an hour. He fully explained what the our concrete resurfacing required and showed us photos of his past work. We wanted a certain color and his photos were just like those of Sonia G posted on his site. We are very pleased with the outcome and we love our new concrete restained floors. Results were identical with those shown by Sonia G.

I highly recommend, without reservations Watkins Construction and Roofing for roof installation and painting. Recently, I contracted with the company for a roof replacement and painting (house inside). The staff, roofers, and painters were: professional (exceptional workmanship), competent (work done on time as specified), caring, and ethical. Job well done! E. Greer - 11/20/2013

I would recommend this company to anyone. They replace my roof which has a very steep pitch and various roof lines. They also put in ridge vents and repair some water damage inside the house. Not only does the roof look great but they did not damage any of my bushes. I am in the lanscape maintenance business and I am very picky about my bushes. Highly recommend to anyone.

The crew at Watkins did a tremendous job on my new roof. They repaired some damaged siding and the house looks brand new. Every detail was thought about right down to the color of the exhaust pipes, which I didn't even ask for. And they were really fast and clean. I would highly recommend Watkins for your roofing needs.
Tips & Advices
In most states, contractors are required to have a license before taking a job. Some states also require registration. To be licensed, contractors must pass an exam and meet certain qualifications that prove he or she is a competent flooring contractor. Registration is simply a list of who will be performing a job.
The time it takes to install flooring depends on the type of flooring and the size of the room or rooms involved in the project. In one day, a typical contractor can usually install up to 2,000 square feet of carpet, 600 square feet of hardwood or laminate, or 400 square feet of tile or stone.
  • Do you have a professional license, insurance, and a business liability policy?
  • Who will work on the project?
  • Do you subcontract, and do you screen workers and have insurance policies to cover them?
  • Do you have references or examples of your work I can see?
  • Do you charge for an in-home estimate?
  • What type of flooring is best for my home in terms of architectural consistency, environmental influences (such as whether a certain type of flooring will be affected by humidity in my area), and durability?
Legally, insurance is not necessary, but it's a good idea for flooring contractors to have it. When hiring a flooring contractor, ask whether the business is insured. If it's not, consider that a red flag.
A flooring contractor should know the pros and cons of each flooring option. These might include pricing, time of installation, durability, and average lifespan of the material.
