The people who are writing these negative reviews have to be the drug seekers or people who are discharged from the clinic for breaking the rules of their pain contract. They are very strict in terms of their policies, but are very compassionate. I have seen Dr. Marshall and NP Kim. Both are very kind and understanding. They listen to you and adjust your care based on your needs. They treat you like a person not a number. The last pain clinic that I went to gave me too much medicine and I was sleepy and tired all of the time. My treatment here was modified and I have felt better that I have in years. Most people only post reviews when they have something to complain about. I guarantee you that all of the negative reviews here are from discharged patients. I decided to post because after reading these comments they don't reflect the excellent care you will receive from this clinic, and I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone. I have been a patient since 2013. I have referred several friends and church members to this clinic. All are still patients and happy with their care because they do the right thing, follow the rules, and are legimiate patients.

Baptist Healthplex
This is a great gym if you are a beginner or are old or have serious health issues. The pool is warm and shallow, the parking is covered, and the machines are plentiful. If you are a weightlifter, Olympic lifter or power lifter or otherwise serious about bodybuilding stay away! The free weight section is a joke and chalk is frowned upon. People sit and chat on the benches and the one rack is so close to the Smith Machine it's clear they never expect them to be used at the same time. Also if you utilize the pool watch out for Mary, she doesn't want anyone in there unless they are in her class and she really doesn't care that you paid the same as others for that access. Having said that though the other instructor, Beth is a sweet as she can be. But the trainers are aggressive, they are not free like at the Y and they will interrupt your workout to give you an advertisement. However, the ramp to the pool is very accommodating for the disabled and the hot tub is large and actually hot. It is also rather fat friendly, the showers are large and accommodating for both fat and disabled people, they go to great lengths to keep things safe and fairly clean as well.

I have been seeing Dr. Robert Mallett for 15 years and would never consider changing. I will say I did make the mistake of trying another optical retail store last year, and will never make that mistake again!! After seeing Dr. Mallett this year for my yearly exam, I went back to JEA Boutique to get new glasses. I was helped by Stephanie Sims, and highly recommend both the boutique and Stephanie. She took a great deal of time with me and asked all the right questions so she could get me exactly what I needed and not more than I needed. My progressive lens are so perfect, a co-worker recently made the comment that she never sees me put my new glasses on top of my head any more. I don't have too! I can see everything I need perfectly. I cannot begin to tell you how relieved I am and how comfortable my new glasses are. I will never ever leave JEA again!!!!!!!

I have been in chronic pain since an injury in college. I recently moved to MS. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Marshall's office after a recommendation from a colleague. I am a nurse practitioner myself and have been in the healthcare field for many years. Dr. Marshall brings back a lot of what is lost in the current climate of Medicine. Her bedside manner is exemplary and she is truly an expert in her field. She listens to her patients and really cares. In the busy practice climate of Medicine, she does not just treat you like a number. I have been treated by pain management clincs in GA and NC. This has truly been my best experience with a pain management clinic.

Dr. Marshall is one of the most caring and compassionate physicians that I have ever encountered. She truly cares for her patients and she listens to them. I have suffered from lupus and rheumatoid arthritis for many years. My pain control now is the best that it has ever been. I have been her patient for a few years. Her staff is friendly and helpful. I needed and authorization completed for one of my medications and it was done the same day. I recommend Dr. Marshall to all of my friends and family who have pain issues.

My experience with this clinic was great! They offer injections to help with your pain and don't just push pills like some clinics. My last clinic had me on so much medication I was tired all the time. They also did some injections that didn't work. The injections that I received from Dr. Marshall have really helped my pain and I have been able to stop some of my meds. I have more energy and don't feel drugged. I highly recommend this clinic if you are serious about controlling your pain.

Dr. Marshall is a gem. I wish that I had found her years ago. I went to another clinic in the area and all they wanted to do was give me meds. I tried Dr. Marshall's clinic after a recommendation from a friend who sees her and has been very pleased with her care. Dr. Marshall has performed nerve burning on my back which has basically eliminated my back pain. I am able to ride a jet ski, play sports with my kids, and ride horses again. My life is now back to normal. Thanks, Dr. Marshall!!!!!

Dr. Marshall is one of the best doctors that I have seen. She listens to her patients which is a lost art in medicine. She uses electronic charts and you can send her messages directly which is great. She and her staff will go the extra mile to help you. They have strict clinic policies, but that is to weed out the people who are there for the wrong reasons. If you are in pain, Dr. Marshall is the doctor to see. Her schedule fills up fast, but she is worth the wait.

JEA has the kindest and most professional staff around! Dr. Whittington has taken great care of me and my family for over 17 years! I really appreciate the attention to detail from Stephanie Sims and all the staff at JEA Optical, they made shopping for the perfect frame easy. Great customer service!

Dr. Marshall is awesome!! She really listens to you and really cares for her patients. It is hard to find doctors these days who will go the extra mile for patients. She performed injections in my back which really helped my back pain. My back hasn't felt this good in years!
Tips & Advices
Insurance agents will often try to "upsell" on various extra products that may be useful for certain people, but are generally excessive for the average consumer. Stick with basic plans that cover as much as you need without any additional costs. For example, if the annual cost of your auto insurance is 10 percent or more of the total value of your car, drop all but the most essential coverage. This is especially applicable if the car you drive is older and could be replaced with savings. Otherwise, you are paying for insurance that will never actually benefit you in the event of a serious crash.
Yes. Even after you've chosen a plan and started paying into it, consider looking around again when it comes time to renew the policy. Consider using an independent agent when searching for a new insurance policy. While traditional agents can still find a good deal, independent agents can choose from a variety of providers and tailor your coverage to your specific needs. The Internet has also made comparison shopping easy. Potential customers can often get free quotes online very quickly.
Send your insurer a claim form for each beneficiary in the plan, as well as a certified copy of the policyholder's death certificate. With the proper information, life insurance claims are generally straightforward. Problems may arise if the policyholder has died within two years of opening the policy. In this case, an attorney may be needed to settle the claim.
In the case of damage, take pictures of the affected area as soon as any safety or health emergencies are resolved. Take note of what happened and all the relevant circumstances and report to your insurer as soon as possible. If any of your possessions were damaged, use an inventory of your important assets and make note of this in the claim. Once an adjuster has made their own report, review it for accuracy.
If you're involved in an accident, you need to call the police right away and have them document the situation. You can file a claim upon obtaining the police report. It's also a good idea, if possible, to take your own notes to record: what happened before the accident, the date and time, traffic signs in the area and road conditions. Also get the other driver's name, address, license plate number, and insurance information. Even photos taken with a cell phone camera can help the claims process. Once you have this documentation, call your insurance company right away.
