Welcome to 2015. No advance online check-in. No advance in person check-in. Check-in kiosk does not work. Staff is cold and unfriendly. Use this location only as last resort.

Concentra Urgent Care
I love this place. The staff is great. I loved my doctor. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He seemed to really care about my well being which is kind of rare with some doctors.

Had a surgery here and had to stay overnight. Based on previous reviews, I was terrified. But I'll have you know, this experience was MAGNIFICENT for me. VIP treatment from the Concierge to the private room. For starters the place is immaculate. This is not a regular hospital. I didnt wait longer than 10mins to do anything. I checked in with the Concierge at 0545, registration, and was in the pre-op room by 0600. The pre-op personnel were perfection (except for one). Wonderful bedside manner for all of them (except for one). There was an overseer of some type keeping everybody on schedule for the 0730 start time. some kind of staff manager. I mean this was a well-oiled machine. I met the anesthesiologist and she was really nice. My surgeon met with me Dr Thomason. We didnt have much to discuss because he's so good at explaining everything in advance, I didnt have any additional questions. My room was private, great cable tv flatscreens, huge like a king size marriott room with several seating areas and a sleeping chair inside one of them. The food was excellent. You get to pick what you wanna eat. My day nurse Marilyn was an angel. Young girl. Very sweet and kind. I never waiting longer than 10 mins for anyone to respond to my calls. housekeeping cleaned the room twice while i was in it. Private shower with towel service and soap. It really is like a hotel with 5-star treatment. I cant say enough great things about the treatment I received here. I know I'll be back here if I ever need surgery again. Plus, I live a few blocks over in Las Colinas so it was convenient. Wonderful staff and experience if you have to have surgery.

The billing practices if this hospital are unethical. I learned this 13 years ago, but why I didn't learn my lesson- I don't know- I delivered my son at this hospital in 2005, and they entered some coding incorrectly, which caused me to have an extremely High bill.I called the billing/accounting department countless times and the first two times I was on the phone for an extremely long time and both Reps informed me that the coding was entered incorrectly- They told me this- I didn't ask- I took their names and when I called back a while later, because I got a bill from a collections agency- I was Rudely told by another Rep that they do not know who I spoke to in the past, but the information was incorrect, I therefore told them where they can put their bill- anyway, I recently went to their imaging dept for a mammogram and had a biopsy procedure and they billed me and I discovered that they billed me for the bill from 2005- I contacted the BBB, FTC, and the Attorney General of Texas to report them. I am not done, this is unethical and I refuse to sit back and let them do something like this, because if they did it to me- there is no telling who else they will do it to. I am not real concerned about the $237.00 dollars, I am concerned about their practices.(The only reason I give them 1 star is because I was forced to enter something)
Tips & Advices
Under most health insurance plans, urgent care visits will require a copay that is usually less expensive than emergency room visits, but more expensive than standard doctor visits - around $120 on average. Urgent care staff do not have much information regarding individual coverage, so be prepared and check with your insurance provider to understand costs.
It is common for urgent care physicians to recommend follow-up treatment after an initial visit. Most commonly, patients will be asked to return to the clinic or their primary care doctor if symptoms get worse or do not improve in a certain amount of time. Patients might be referred to a specialist for treatment of more complex conditions. Or patients may simply be given a few basic tips for recovering at home. In any case, patients should follow the doctor’s advice regarding next treatment steps.
If needed, urgent care doctors can prescribe medication to treat conditions. This may include antibiotics for an infection or pain medication for a broken bone. Be sure to follow the doctor’s instructions for taking these medicines.
Be sure to explain your symptoms to physicians in as much detail as possible. Note when or where the symptoms first appeared if possible. Inform urgent care staff of any medical conditions you may have, all allergies, and all medications you are currently taking. Also be sure to bring proper forms of identification, and any health insurance cards/information to help process your visit.
You should be able to find a 24-hour urgent care clinic by searching online resources such as yellowpages.com. Be sure the location is included in your health plan network before visiting.
