Jefferson Dental Clinics
This is a horrible place.  Had an upper partial made here and a few months later the front tooth just fell off.  Took it back to have it remade and received one with the tooth on crooked and it did not match my other front tooth in size or shape. The deranged dentist thought this was funny and said she did not have anything to do with it being poorly made. Requested a refund and was refused!  Said I could go to another location and have it remade again. Could not reach anyone in Corporate Office. Dentist and office manager had very poor customer skills.  I am filing a complaint with better business bureau and my attorney advised me to sue them.

WARNING !!!! DANGER !!! KEEP OUT !!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY !!!! YOUR HEALTH COULD BE AT SERIOUS RISK !!! Ok I went to have a tooth pulled back in January of this year. Simple right? I mean we have all had teeth pulled before. The dentist trainee (not a real dentist) pulled my tooth, the root broke off, so they really had to get in there a dig around to get the rest of the root. They couldn't write a script for real pain killer so they gave me Tylenol 3 which did nothing. After 3 days they finally got a real dentist to write me a script for Hydrocodone, which worked but they only gave me 2 days worth. I returned in 2 weeks for my deep cleaning during which time I told them I was still in severe pain. They said well it looks like the area has healed up just fine but we may have to go back in and clean out the socket. So they did. Now the pain was so bad I had to go to a pain specialist to get real pain meds for more than just a day or two. That was an extra $100. Showed back up in 2 weeks to have the rest of my deep cleaning finished up and again I told them that not only was I in severe pain but that after they had cleaned out my socket my nose started running and there was a really foul odor associated with it. They punctured my sinus. So they did what they needed to in order finish up and said everything looks fine, you shouldn't still be in pain but we can set an appointment with our oral surgeon if you like? The nearest appointment was 2 months away so I declined. My nose ran like a faucet, the pain in my upper jaw was constant, I had the chills and couldn't get warm, and then I woke up one morning and my right eye was swollen shut. I had to pay a doctor to fix that. Jefferson Dental denies making any mistakes and are unwilling to fix this. Stay away.

Do NOT go to this company. Terrible customer service, absolute worst I have ever experienced in my life. I have never written a review on a company before, but I feel the need to on this due to the circumstances. My first visit was actually rather pleasant to be honest, but just went downhill after that. I was told I needed fillings and a root canal, which automatically put me in concerned mode and figured I would go through with it. To this day, I never received an explanation as to WHY I needed those procedures, nor did they make me aware of how the procedure went down. Two months later, I am still in pain and still have not been reimbursed my money they owe me (which is well over $1000 I might add). I had troubles getting ahold of the finance manager because they're "not allowed to let us know when they are working" for some reason. Once we finally got ahold of her, we were pleased. However after speaking to the "Finance manager" (Maggie is her name), we were extremely disappointed and somewhat shocked as to what happened. She let us know she couldn't give me information due to the HIPAA laws (even though she was talking to the patient) and that what we were discussing was "not relevant." I let her know that my money is, in fact, a topic of important discussion. Any question we asked she blamed it on the insurance and never actually answered our questions. She said the insurance would reimburse us after 30 days, and so I politely let her know it has been well over 60 days and she still didn't give a care in the world about my issues and was rude on top of it with her approach. She should not be in the position she is in with her lack of customer service skills. Will NEVER return to this location or company again. And I advise you guys not to either so you don't have to go through the terrible experience I did.

Our family has been going to Southfork Dental for last few year after we moved from California. We are very happy with service and the location. Since they see kids and provide orthodontic treatments it is convenient for our family.

Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
