Xspress Electronics
A older looking man working there by the name of "Sam", was attempting to sell me a large floor set speaker. He promised the sound quality would be un-matched by any competing brands such as Bose. Now I realize for a cheaper price you will recieve cheaper quality. But this was the most sketchy looking speaker I have ever seen in my life!!! As he was demonstrating it smoke started bellowing out of the rear of the speaker. He said it was normal and it just had to warm up... THERE IS NOTHING NORMAL ABOUT A SPEAKER POURING OUT SMOKE. Then on top of that when I displayed disinterest in the speaker he persistently tried to keep me in the store even offering me a cheaper price if I paid in cash... I am now tax official but that seems like tax evasion. I am ashamed my local Irving mall which I have been going to for years would ever but such a sketchy and embarrassment of a store in our local beloved mall. Just disappointing and un-nerving. BEWARE of this business.

Fry's Electronics
Their staff are not knowledgeable, the managers are Extremely rude, and their service warranty's are a HUGE waste of money.I recently had a bad experience with a warranty on my laptop. After dropping it off, I did not hear back from them at all. The store manager was very rude, argued with me, and tried to push the blame regarding the damage and follow up on my laptop. Needless to say at this point I am contacting the district manager and will go as far up as I have to in order to find someone who actually cares about customers.

Worst construction company they don't pay their sub. They left the job incomplete and then came back 1 year later to sue and put a lien on our property. Don't work with them

Fry's Electronics
As a former 4-year employee of Fry's I would like to say that, as long as you find yourself talking to someone that doesn't make commission (Audio-Video, Computers, and certain parts of components) the employees are typically over qualified for their positions and do go out of their way to help people find what they need. Unfortunately the company has a problem ordering enough of in demand products and instead overstocks terrible items that are high in margin and low low low in demand. Certain sales heavy departments (Computers, for example) will deny customers services if it doesn't add to their commission. Some times employees will simply just miss someone in distress (that happens anywhere) but it is these more commission dependent salesmen that will plainly refuse to help There are products that have missing parts or defects that are marked down and still being sold for parts, though when this is the case they are clearly marked with a large orange sticker.Outside of these things and the employees being forced to dress like used car salesmen it is a fairly average department store.@Crash Override Though your scenario sounds unfortunate I do feel you're probably down playing your reaction or exaggerating what happened. I can't speak for their return policies regarding Components merchandise but had you been calm in responding I seriously doubt you'd of been escorted out. Fry's doesn't have anyone labelled as "Security". If you saw someone in a black shirt that had to escort you out then it was most likely a police office. Also you'd of been the first they actually physically grabbed to escort out of the store (considering they can't even physically stop anyone they know is stealing without evidence of them before during (both on and off camera) AND after the act.)I have NO love for the company as an associate but I figured I'd correct some of these errors in the other review.

Terrible, stay away. They do not pay their bills. I couldn't get products to my job. Call and check out their references.
Tips & Advices

The most common types of house siding are wood, asbestos (read the warning labels!), aluminum or steel, vinyl, hardboard composite, fiberglass, and cement fiber. Few contractors use asbestos for any residential siding anymore.
On average, it costs $25-$50 per square foot for basement refinishing. Those numbers can climb as high as $100 per square foot depending on materials and labor. On average, most basement refinishing costs around $30,000. Before getting estimates, it’s a good idea to know your square footage and work out a per-square-foot budget so you know what you can afford.
The National Air Duct Cleaners Association recommends having your ducts cleaned every three to five years. While there are variables for all homes, such as number of residents, air quality and pets, every two years is considered adequate maintenance of your ducts.
If you are looking for straight return-on-investment value, the best home improvement project is insulation. That might may seem surprising, but valuable energy efficiency makes it the top home improvement project. Steel entry doors, manufactured stone veneer, kitchen remodel, and garage door replacement round out the top five ROI home improvement projects.
