YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

In the late 1950's Charles and Enid Anderson started The Little Shop to pursue their interests in furniture restoration and interior design. Charles was working in upper management in large corporations and frequent moving was too hard on their family. His son, Erling Anderson, took over the business in 1994 and Gary Kovach (who joined "The Shop" in 1974) managed the company with Erling. We now operate out of a 6,000 square foot building near the Iowa City Airport. The Little Shop offers full service furniture repair, restoration, refurbishing and refinishing on furniture of all ages (200 years old to modern) as well as `refurbishing- antiques. We also offer in-home and office touch-up. Further, The Little Shop offers complete upholstering and upholstery repair services. Unusual for a furniture shop, we also restore, repair and rewire lamps and chandeliers. Our lamp services range from simple socket repairs to complete rewiring chandeliers.

I live in northern California and I truly wish that I could find a "Sisters" in my neck of the woods! We usually make the trip back to Iowa once a year to see family and my husband knows that I MUST stop in (usually more than once) to visit Sisters (and get my fix!). I have had great luck in finding true treasures -- ones that I would never be able to find in CA. We've had to get creative, however, in packing and/or shipping my treaures home. The airlines just don't make it easy anymore!! Everyone at Sisters has always been so nice -- it is a wonderful experience -- one that I always look forward too! Saw that you were mentioned in "Victoria" magazine. Go Sisters! Vicki Hogendorn
