Sherman Moving & Storage
I wish I had the same experience the last two reviewers did.....For one, the guys I got were DEFINITELY not sexy. I hired them to load my Penske truck for a one way trip, and I found their water bottles and trash left in the back of the truck upon looking in the back. They did pack the truck nice and tight and were professional, however. I was told by James, one of the movers, to buy "a couple hundred" feet of rope and a rachet strap to tie furniture and my motorcycle down. I brought back 100 feet of rope, and he said that was perfect. Where was the other 100 going to go?? Hmmmmm. Also, I noticed upon unloading the motorcycle that he had cut my ratchet strap that I paid $10 for. It's usable, but not as long as it's supposed to be. I also had a box of tools packed up that was open, and I see my screw driver laying by the closet door. I find out that James used my screw driver without asking me and didn't bother to put it back. I must have just gotten a bad crew, I guess. I saw three guys that were getting paid $10 an hour or less and not trained very well. When I went to pay the bill, Neal, the driver, tells me the time started at 7:45, and we didn't begin until 8:30. I only live two miles from their location, so their travel time was less than 10 minutes, and I'm being generous. Neal tells me that they got their at 8 and had to wait for me to get there. Uh, yeah! I was told they would be there at 8:30! Anyway, he tried to charge me for an extra half hour, but I stood my ground and finally won. I will say that they took very good care wrapping the furniture and trying to protect it. They had good things and bad things.

Crown Moving & Storage, Bekins Agent
Moving can be at the least difficult and the most traumatic. The team at Crown Moving from Phil who did the initial walk through to Ruth, our coordinator, to the team who packed and moved us made the move actually fun! Phil impressed me by being within 300lbs on his estimate compared to the actual weight. Ruth kept in frequent contact with me to make sure things were running smoothly. The teamof guys who moved us were fast, careful, and efficient and had a great sense of humor to boot! Chris, our driver did an awesome job in maneuvering the truck in a tight place and he loaded our storage unit perfectly. We had two drops and they were patient with my wife and me as we designated what went where. If you can use these guys, use them. You will not be disappointed. Oh, and I doubt we will have a claim on anything. I am pretty confident everything is fine.

Not only were they really sweet but they were super quick and careful. They wrapped all my furniture to protect it and had my stuff loaded up in two hours. I needed them to stop at my storage unit and pick some stuff up for my new apartment and not one time did they complain about the extra work! They were great and very professional. They had my stuff unloaded into my new apartment so fast I had the rest of the day to unpack, and my bill was LOWER than I had budgeted!Ive told all my friends about this company and will highly recommend them to anyone I can! Crown Moving & Storage, Bekins Agent
From the moment they showed up (right on time) to the time they left (earlier than we had anticipated) the crew from Crown Moving & Storage, an interstate agent for Wheaton World Wide Moving exceeded expectations. The five gentlemen who showed up were exactly that -- gentlemen. Neatly dressed and polite, they quickly got down to business by doing a careful walk through of the house with me to ensure they knew what was going where. As we were putting some of our items into storage and some in our temporary apartment, they were careful to load the truck in the right order and none of our items ended up being confused. In the end, were able to sleep our first night in our apartment with no worries. I would recommend Crown Moving & Storage to friends, family and colleagues.

Long Distance Relocation Services
I had two relocations before the last one that I used Long Distance Relocation Services. I cannot say that they were successful since, although, the movers denied responsibility, I lost some valuables, or rather misplaced under their watch. I didn't want anything like that to happen to me again. I shouldn't have let it happen for the second time in the first place. That guilt gave me the courage to search deeper. I found Long Distance Relocation Services who promised to make my relocation convenient. I used them banking on their experience. I am glad that I wasn't mistaken this time and my relocation was handled professionally making it successful. They for sure changed my experience.

Crown Moving & Storage, Bekins Agent
We were very impressed with Crown Moving and Storage/Wheaton for our local move within Indiana. The whole team which included 5 men who came to pack and move our furniture were very courteous, meticulous, and very careful with all furniture. They arrived on time to pack and delivered our furniture on time. They exceeded our expectation. Ruth Williams our moving coordinator also checked on us from time to time to make sure everything was going smoothly with the move. She responded promptly to my emails and telephones and was very efficient in coordinating the whole move. I would definitely recommend them to friends and relatives who choose to relocate. You wont be sorry.

Indiana Long Distance Movers
This was my first experience with a moving company, so I had no idea what to expect. I anticipated the worst since the move was in different buildings, and everything wasn't packed as well as hard to get to. Everything was done in a timely fashion. They were very professional and the job went smoothly and efficiently. I was very impressed with their knowledge, their demeanor, sense of humor and politeness. I would highly recommend Morse moving to anyone needing to move. They guys were great!!! Definitely a 5 out of 5. I look foward to meeting them at my new home. They deserve a raise and a bonus.

Long Distance Relocation Services
I thought that what was said about Long Distance Relocation Services was fabricated. I never believed that they could be perfect and have all positive reviews. That was until I saw them working for a close family friend. She was moving to Pennsylvania with her family, and I thought I could offer some assistance. To my surprise, the crew was self-sufficient taking control of everything. They were well coordinated and hardworking. I called her later that day to confirm if her relocation was smooth and she was all praises for the mover. It turned out that all that was said about the mover was true.

Long Distance Relocation Services
If you are planning to relocate soon and you have everything checked on the list except the box for a mover, then you have no reason to worry. I am here to tell you about a mover who will make your life easier. Long Distance Relocation Services is the mover I used during my relocation to Pennsylvania at the end of last month, and I think you will want to have them by your side too. They are punctual and respectful while the security of your belongings will be guaranteed. Better yet, they will take control of everything, and you will have to relax while everything is handled.

Long Distance Relocation Services
I have used many moving companies over the years but I think that I will stick with Long Distance Relocation Services from now on. They have perfected the art of both moving and customer service.I wanted to move my 4-bedroom home to South Carolina. When I called Long Distance Relocation Services, I was pleasantly surprised about how open they are about pricing. Jay from sales took the time to explain all the little details and costs. The movers were professional, courteous and knew exactly what they were doing. All my items arrived on time and without any damage. Perfect.
Tips & Advices
Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
