YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

part 1/3.I am an Army Officer currently deployed to Iraq and my main way to relieve stress is to sew. I know, I don't fit the stereotypical model, but creating things with my hands is a great outlet but I digress. This is my second dealing with Select Sewing in the past 2 year. I initially was assigned to an investigation in Indianapolis that kept me there for a few weeks. During that time my machine that I travel with became severely out of timing. It would not catch the lead half the time and when it did, it created a looping underknot that clogged up the entire bobbin assembly almost instantly. I did a google search and did some praying and was lead to Select Sewing. It was on the other side of Indie from me, but I just felt that is where I should go. I was not lead astray. I was greeted at the door by a warm welcoming lady who quickly handed me off the a platoon of repair ninjas and mechanical wizards the likes of which would make Gandolf and Dumbledor blush in comparison.

I had become acquainted with Gary Sink, and he had serviced a couple machines for me. I asked him about a Viking I purchased used, and had serviced by the Viking Dealership at a cost of $193.00, but it wasn't operating correctly. I told him the problem, and he told me that a main cam had a crack in it. I took it to Gary my next trip in the area. He called a few days later, and said the original factory seals on the lubrication system had never been broken; I asked him to take care of that task also, while wondering what the H--- the Viking service did. When I picked up the machine, Gary had replaced the broken cam, serviced it completely, including lubrication, found me a manual, and the bill was $69.00. I have since taken him several machines, and given his name to many friends . . . we all love him! I even bought a car from him!

I have taken several classes here, but classes from Terri the owner should be avoided. She does not seem to understand students are there to learn, rushing thru the instruction and then not caring if the projects are even possible to complete in the time allotted. That might be ok in a $20 class, but I have paid much more than that and merely got a sales pitch on the machine she was hawking rather than a lesson

I love Always in Stitches. The people are extremly friendly and eager to help. And I do mean seriously help. The manager is the best. There have been two instances where she went out of her way to get me additional fabric that I needed. One time it was put in the mail. No, they do not have everything you are looking for, but what shop does. Always in Stitches is unique in the type of fabrics they carry. I just know this shop will do very well. Two thumbs up!!! Designer Sewing Center was founded in 2013 by partners Stephen and Natalie Reiners, originally under the name Dawn Abbey Inc., to facilitate the teaching of sewing classes at our home studio in Whitestown, Indiana. After teaching a few students, Natalie realized that she needed to create a simple training system that would allow someone who had never touched a sewing machine to gain the skills needed to create custom styles for themselves, others and the home. So, the Sutura Style “Sew Like a Pro’ series was developed. Natalie taught these classes at home and at Hancock Fabrics, Carmel, Indiana, until we realized that the business had taken over much of our house, and it needed a home of its own. Enter son Jordan Albert who brings the tech, social media and retail sales background to our family-owned shop. We wanted to stay part of our small town community and found our current location, in the old bank building, on Main Street in Whitestown, Indiana. We became authorized dealers of Brother and Juki sewing machines, added notions, tools and fabrics and so, Designer Sewing Center was born. Welcome to “The Little Store with More!”. Designer Sewing Center offers: Sutura Style Sewing Classes, Repairs to all makes of sewing machines, Scissor Sharpening Service Designer Quality Fabrics Notions Sewing Tools and Equipment Quilt Kits Patterns and, Sew Much More!
