STAY AWAY! Deceitful family business. I purchased an 02 Ford Explorer Sport Trac with 86k miles from them and dealt with Shafer (son) and Jeff (father/owner).They put a higher price on every vehicle then ‘slash’ the price. They are non-negotiable on their price because it has already been reduced. Every car on their website and lot is ‘on sale’. My truck is nice looking & it seemed to be in great shape. When I got home, my son & I noticed a smell coming from the engine compartment, 2 days later the ‘check engine’ light came on, &a couple days later it overheated. A friend replaced the thermostat. He told me someone else had already worked on the cooling system & there were several hoses that were just pushed on and didn’t have clamps. He put clamps on. Then when I drove the truck, the coolant poured out under the vehicle. About 1 ½ weeks after purchasing the vehicle I went back & talked to Shafer & explained to him that I have had nothing but problems ever since I purchased the truck. He told me to bring it in and they would look at it. I did the next day, Saturday. On Monday & asked for Shafer, I was told he was busy and talked to his dad, Jeff. He told me they think it was the water pump, that the paperwork when I dropped off said check coolant leak & that’s what they did, they weren’t going to do any repairs & I needed to pick it back up and take it to a mechanic. I was upset & he told me he didn’t know what was said when I brought the truck back, & that he was put in the middle. I told him to go ask his son who was there! He told me he would call me back. He called back & I was informed again that they weren’t going to help with the repairs since I didn’t buy a warranty, & if I wanted a new vehicle I should have gone down the road to Blossom Chevrolet. I purchased a 14 year old truck & didn’t expect it to be like new & it wasn’t but at 86k miles I didn’t think I needed a warranty. READ THE REVIEWS!
