Eduardo's
The signs say "Charlie Biggs", but there is an "Eduardo's" sign in plain text letters on the front door.This is on the north side of Raymond, between Keystone and Churchman. Look for the Burger King, and it's in between Burger King and Keystone Ave.It pretty much looks like an inner-city fried chicken joint, but it is very clean, including the unisex bathroom. The staples or main offerings are fried chicken and fried fish, but... the big "secret" is their Filipino cuisine. You won't know it's Filipino until you go in and read the menu.One time I had a fried-chicken (American style) combo dinner, with deep fried potato wedges and a cole-slaw side, and it was excellent for a fried-chicken place; crisp on the outside, and tender and juicy, cooked-just-right, on the inside.Another time I had a sample platter of the "menudo" (which is not at all like Mexican or Hispanic menudo, and some "adobo", served over white rice. EXCELLENT! Both of those are pork dishes, I was told. I then had some "Lumpia" small Filipino egg rolls, stuffed with pork. That, and the barbecued pork-on-a-stick are about all the Filipino food they serve during the week.The lady said they have more Filipino cuisine on the weekends.Eduardo's is the main caterer for the Filipino Association (Barangay club) booth at the International Festival. So if you like their food there, you ought to like it at Eduardo's on the weekends.One time I was there they were serving more Filipino cuisine than the adobo/menudo, but it was a special order for a group of Filipinos celebrating someone's birthday. So apparently if you have a group of 7 or more, and arrange with them in advance, they can cater it for dine-in or take out. Otherwise, wait for the weekend. Our group sat next to the birthday group, and we were constantly stealing glances, envying their food.The dining area gets chilly when the exhaust fans are running in the kitchen, and it pulls in the cold air. So dress warmly if you eat in during cold weather.The dining area consists of four tables-for-4, and a counter which seats 3 people. Both times there was a steady stream of take-out customers for the chicken. Though there was one caucasian gentleman who also asked for the Filipino cuisine for take-out.I think this family is doing it right: Their bread-and-butter business is what the working-class neighborhood wants, fried chicken and fish, which pays the bills. But what they love, and enjoy sharing is the Filipino cuisine. (The party of seven celebrating someone's birthday were professional folks who obviously had connections to the owners.) But there is probably not enough demand for a 100% Filipino restaurant to stay in business.Last I checked, they closed at 7pm on weekdays in the winter, so call to check if you want to go later.As far as I know, this is the only Filipino restaurant in the greater Indianapolis metro area.

Himalaya Kabob Korner
This is on the North side of 82nd Street, in front of the Castleton Square mall. It's on the back (North) side of a little out-lot, so you can't see it from 82nd street. You can see "Casual Male" from the street, and Kabob Korner is directly behind it, on the other side of that building.Look for the National City Bank, and turn North there, as if you're going into the mall. Then go right (East), and it's just past Long John Silver's.They close from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, so remember that when you visit.You walk up to the counter to place your order and pay. They bring your food out to your table on a tray and plastic plates. You have to get your own plastic utensils, napkins, and water from the counter.Menu is limited, and posted on a board behind the counter. Kabobs come in sirloin beef, lamb, ground beef, and chicken, and then there are three other entrees. Entrees come with side of long grain rice (basmati I think) and small dinner salad. I really liked the dressing on the salad.Drinks include ice water (self serve), and bottled water/soda/tea, and hot coffee.Prices are good and food quality is worth going out of your way for. It's kind of set up on a fast-food arrangement, so the overall "dining experience" isn't impressive, but the food does impress.The owner works as the cashier, cook, and waiter, and is very personable.Dining area and men's room were very clean.

Chef Mike's Charcoal Grill
Perfect date night dinner stop. Quite for a family diner. The Chef really seems to know what he was doing. We went for our Anniversary dinner, I had the lamb that was listed as part of their Valentine Couples special and my husband had the 10 oz Rib-eye both seasoned with a fresh mix of herbs that we both found hard to discern the exact mix, which is rare for my husband at any restaurant, but the flavor was perfection and the presentation was more than pleasingly appetizing. The meal came with two small bowls of Lobster Bisque that was wonderful with just a hint of pepper, followed by a colorful garden salad with strips of zucchini shavings and widely mixed leaf greens. The main course had perfectly grilled asparagus and what looked and tasted like Golden Yukon potatoes and finished with a decadent mix of dark chocolate and cherries in a heart shaped slice of Torte. All served with a tart dry Merlot. I would say this is a wonderful stop for any night out. We may even call on them to cater for our next big bash.

The Iron Skillet
We just left the Iron Skillet after celebrating another anniversary. The anniversary party has grown from 4 to 17 members and the very youngest gets excited when we say it is time to go again. The in laws we have gathered along the way look forward to it as much as the children. The food is exceptional and the service is grand. Ron is like a member of the family always speaking with each individual at the table. If you want a great family meal, served in very nice surroundings, with a touch of elegance, by outstanding staff this would be a great choice. We have been there with friend and many groups over the years and never been disappointed. God bless and thank you Mr. Torr and staff for great memories.

My last visit was with my two boys and we waited almost ten minutes for a hostess to greet us and walk us to a table. The place seemed fully staffed. Then we waited another 15 minutes before we were addressed by one of the waitresses asking us if our assigned waitress every came by. Because she never did, the waitress present was nice enough to take our order and to serve us. Our waitress was nice and was speedy getting us the food. My older son's order was incorrect but he was too hungry to address it to our waitress. In the future, if I have to wait that long to be seated and then wait another additional time to be tended to, I'm going to take my business elsewhere.

Chef Mike's Charcoal Grill
So the person who gave the place a one star is silly. Best damn burger I've ever had. Seriously. I would have to give them something with the service, but quite frankly I don't go to a place to be flattered or waited on hand-and foot. The fries were really good with a breading that's more like an onion ring, which was really good. The burger itself has an awesome smokiness to it that is unique. Maybe the philly is not as good, idk as I have never had it.I would give this place 5 stars, but service is a little lacking, and the ability to get into the restaurant is stupidly hard as well.

Lincoln Square Restaurant
Had the distinct surprise pleasure of discovering Lincoln square this morning. Dropped a busload of kids off @ a track meet @ LC. Drove down the road for a munch. About 10am, solo, made my way to the counter. Overwhelmed by the fact that all 15 waitresses were so incredibly good looking. Plus, friendly, fun & nice. Continuous checks on my coffee with smiles. Got the dixie bfast. B&G with 2eggs was perfect. Fast, hot, delicious! Best bfast experience ever. Food was great, staff was A1, Thx Brandi, Grace, Jean & Aloha babe for the prayer. Totally made my day--

Ruth's Chris Steak House
This place by far has the best steak my husband and I have ever had. Melts in your mouth for sure. The service is excellent!! My husband had actually proposed here a few years back and we go every year to eat. We never leave disappointed. The owner, I believe it was, came out and took our picture and gave us some photos for us to keep. He does it every time we go. I would highly recommend making a reservation. All and all the are wonderful!!!

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
The food is really great, but make sure you check your order before you leave the drive-thru. I've made 2 visits and both orders were wrong when I got home. I asked for NO gravy on the spuds the first time and they were drowning with the stuff. The second time, I ordered all white combo (and paid extra for it) that turned out to be all dark at home, and there was no fork to eat the cole slaw I ordered.

Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen
I've been to this location several times. Food is great. I love the Buffalo chicken wrap. It is huge and tasty. The have a frozen drink. It's a peach belini. Not sure how it's spelled. It's amazing. My fiance likes the chicken n steak. The fried cheese is really good. It's pretty and clean the staff is hit or miss . I might add we drive from mccordsville to go here! Totally worth the trip.
