Mr. Rooter Plumbing
Our pipes were backing up and we believed we had a large clog in a pipe. We called Mr. Rooter and set an appointment. They called about an hour before the appointment block to say it would be closer to the end of the block of time. When they arrived they covered their shoes when walking through the house (even though I told them they didn't have to). I appreciated their courtesy. They took a look at our pipes and informed us it wasn't a plumping problem. We had water in all of our pipes which meant it was an issue with our septic tank. They charged us NOTHING!!! We live in the country and it typically costs $50-100 just to find out what our problem is and how much it'll cost to fix it. Not with Mr. Rooter! They were friendly and respectful. I greatly appreciated their honesty. I would gladly call them again.

A&B Plumbing Service
Great company!! Our restaurant had a little drainage problem so I called A&B, it was after hours but I didn't get the message like the previous company I'd called (they still didn't call me back), instead, Avery the owner himself picked up, he said he would come out if it were an emergency, it wasn't so we decided that he would come out early in the morning. The next day, he promptly showed up at 9. Very honest, he told me the price of the job before starting and he also said he would not charge anything if he couldn't solve the problem. He did. Very courteous, very professional, very good at his job, I would recommend him to anybody who has plumbing issues. (I wouldn't wish plumbing problems on anybody but the man's got make a living!)

Ideal Plumbing Systems
I cannot say enough good things about this company. It is a smaller company but the plumber is very good at what he does. I hired him to replace all the water lines in my house (a 100 year old house) a year ago and have not had an issue since. All the lines were run cleanly and organized and the price was a third of my other two quotes. Last week I had my gas cut off because it failed a pressure test by the gas company. I called him up again and got a quote from him and two other companies and sure enough he was $200.00 lower than the other two companies. He replaced all my gas lines in my house and did a great job. If you’re looking for quality work at a FAIR price I would get a quote from this guy.

Powerhouse Plumbers LLC
From the moment Brandon arrived, to the day Brandon and Rick was here working, to finally the day when I waved good bye to Brandon after the job was finished I was very pleased with how courteous, professional and patient with me they were. I asked Brandon a LOT of questions and he answered each and everyone of them. He went above and beyond how I have been treated by other plumbers from other companies. Pricing was affordable and I have recommended the company to several people already. I know they'll be back here because they are the only plumbers I now trust in Indianapolis and I have a couple of smaller jobs that I want done. Thanks again guys!

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
Excellent service I had a recent issue where my house began to flood after having a clog somewhere, with have used roto-rooter before I called they called me had a service tech out very quick. When my tech arrived he was very knowledgeable explained my options and after some paperwork he got right on it, when the clog was found he explained the issue at hand and what to look for. On top of having an awesome experience I have a 6 month guarantee that it should not happen again but if so they come back out to further investigate. I would say with this I got my money worth and will continue to use them, thanks again for helping roto-rooter.

Plumb Doctor LLC
This guy was so great!! I will never shop around again for a plumber. He was the cheapest, he was very proffesional, and kind. He took his time to explain to me what he was doing and why and the imprortance of each thing he was fixing and how it all worked. He even went as far as to show me what to do if there was a small problem. As a woman I did not feel like he was trying to take advantage of my gender and give me a line of crap. I will recommend Plumb Doctor to my friends and family . Thank you for your fast, friendly, price I can afford services. You get way more than you pay for.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
Roto Rooter is awesome! I called them and they were at my house within an hour of the call. The person answering the phone was friendly, professional, listened to my issue and dispatched someone right away. The field representative, Dave Bruce, went out of his way to help me understand my plumbing problem and give me ways to prevent it happening in the future. He was very helpful, friendly, and informative. And the call was affordable. I would definitely use Roto Rooter again. This is my third time in the past two years, and each time has been a positive experience.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
I am a business owner that has to subcontract some work out. I've used Roto Rooter on many occasions. Typically, phone communication is good, although showing up on time can be a hassle. Most technicians are knowledgable and get the job done. Price is moderate to high. Price is negotiable (each technician can alter pricing as they are part of their pay is commission based). Despite the small hassles hear and there, they have always shown up same day, even when late. Service is according to code and would pass home inspections. Will use again.
Tips & Advices
The following tools and common household objects can be used to clean drains at home:
  • A plunger
  • A drain snake
  • Baking soda
  • Vinegar
  • Grease-fighting dish soap
Homeowners can mix boiling water with any of the last three products to break up grease and grime.
The main ingredients in clog removal liquid products are sodium hydroxide and sodium hypochlorite. According to the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, both break down into relatively harmless components when it comes into contact with water or soil. However, both substances cause mild irritation to skin and internal tissues.
Also known as a drain auger, a drain snake is a coiled device around ¼-inch thick. To use a drain snake, put the end into the entrance of the drain. Turn the handle to force the snake deeper, using extra pressure to force it through the bend in the pipe. Keep turning until the snake hits the clog, then either pull the snake and remove the obstruction or force it through. Once the snake is out of the drain, run the water on full blast for a few minutes to ensure the obstruction is completely removed.
Plungers don't damage residential pipes, but the force created by the act of plunging weakens the seal between the toilet and the floor.
Many plumbers, both local businesses and nationwide chains, offer emergency or same-day services.
