We truly appreciate feedback. Positive comments reassure us that we provide the qualityproduct and service that we work so hard to provide. Customer concerns provide us theopportunity to revisit product, service and procedures that may need improvement. We strive for several goals here at Gillespie Florists. First, to provide warm, friendlyservice by our knowledgeable and talented staff by phone, in store or online 362 days ayear (we are closed only on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day). Next, to providethe freshest flowers, healthiest plants and gifts appropriate for numerous occasions(birthdays, anniversaries, recovery, sympathy, etc). Finally, we strive to provide quickand efficient delivery service to the Indianapolis and surrounding metropolitan areasdaily. After reading the post above, we find it unfortunate that we were not made aware of theconcerns of this customer. Our most popular expression for sympathy delivered to afuneral home or church is the traditional sympathy arrangement. This colorful display ofcut flowers provides a beautiful presentation approximately 30" x 30" and has significantvisual impact. A vase or take home style arrangement, although more functional (can beenjoyed at home after the service) is a smaller presentation, especially when comparedto the traditional sympathy arrangement. Content (standard versus elegance flowers),style and container also affect the size and fullness of an arrangement. With regard tothe color of the arrangement; was the deceased a gentleman? Earth/Fall tones or a brightcombination of colors can be considered masculine. Communication with our customeris the most important skill that we can continue to improve upon each and every day.Clear and understandable communication between the customer and the customer servicerepresentative is most likely where the problem occurred. The staff of Gillespie Floristswish to express our most sincere apology for the concerns that this customer experienced.Gillespie Florists has a 100% guarantee our product and service. We ask to be advisedimmediately if we have fallen short of your expectations.
They are adequate for walk-ins to purchase whatever happens to be fresh and available. Likewise, they seem to be able to handle online orders. However, I would not trust them for any custom arrangements. I went so far as to walk in and order an arrangement a full week ahead of delivery. I specified flowers, greens, delivery address (in writing--text), and time. On the day of delivery, the time was approaching, and the arrangement had not been delivered. Calling did not get a result, so I took off work to go personally to the store. Upon arrival, the owner kept mentioning an arrangement of 10 stems. I had ordered and paid for 12 stems. They were able to track down the arrangement, which had not been delivered. The address on it was not the one I had given them (in writing), and there were 10 stems, not 12. I was verbally told that they would "take care" of me. I had to get back to work. So, basically, even with a week in advance, they got the arrangement wrong, got the address wrong, and probably won't make the deadline for delivery, either. Do not trust this store for any custom work.
Not only did Gillespie Florists exceed my expectations of taking a small budget and creating a priceless memory, but Sarah's delightful personality, expert knowledge, and entire team's creative minds were extremely refreshing during a stressful wedding planning time. Gillespie offers reasonable prices and an AHH-MAZING! DIY for those looking to save a few dollars. Sarah met with me personally to teach me how to make table arrangements and made sure I felt comfortable before creating the real thing. I didn't trust myself with creating my bouquet :), but the artistic take on my favorite flower (calla lily) in addition to the minerva carnations (they're gorgeous) made the eggplant colors POP! My family has used Gillespie for my sister's prom, my wedding, and work functions. They have found life long customers in me and my family. I can't thank them enough for their friendly smiles and big help. God Bless!
I ordered flowers for our Admin to be delivered on Admin's Professional Day. They arrived at the end of the day, even though I ordered more than a week in advance and requested a morning delivery. Once the flowers finally arrived, I was embarrassed to have given these to our Admin! I paid over $100 Dollars for this "best quality" arrangement and they did not look at all like the picture. The bouquet looks as though someone sat on it, the flowers were already browning, and it looked as though random flowers were just thrown in a vase. ***UPDATE 5/3/2016*** I spoke with their store manager, Stephanie, who was super apologetic about the quality of their bouquet. She is providing me with another delivered bouquet for our admin at no charge. I am extremely grateful that they are willing to own up to their mistake and fix it! 5 stars for customer service and satisfaction!
EXTRAORDINARY degree of care & quality. We met with Nancy to order the family's floral arrangement for our father's funeral. The compassion and concern expressed by her was heartfelt, and her desire to make the design meaningful to us showed her skill and experience. Though she was overwhelmingly busy, she took generous time with us, and did not hurry us along. This is not just a business, Nancy has a true gift and sincere desire to serve others in a time of grief. And, as if it could not have been a better experience, the flowers went far beyond our expectation, at what I felt was a reasonable price. This business is a true jewel!
